Amazon Announces Plan to Fight Counterfeits

Boeing 787-9 Twin Jet Dreamliner Hits Top Speed of 801 MPH

AFIAK, It's not Mach-1, because it is a function of local flow velocity and local speed of sound. AFAIK, If it's a 230mph tailwind, that causes sound to travel faster in one direction than the other. Were a commercial jetliner actually to hit Mach-1, it would rip itself apart due to pressure...

I don't think it was stream It's Uplay that ubisoft ties into steam, for a double login app service, that was frustrating and annoying. And it wasn't even steam that was annoying, it's about 99% Uplay's fault for being a trash app.

Tesla Owner Credits Autopilot Feature for Saving His Life

I've seen enough of these videos where a normal driver will steer to avoid, over correct, lose control, spin and then crash into the barrier or spin off into the ditch. Where as the autopilot held pretty good. I also think most people claiming they can do better are full of it, because I don't...

Automation Will Change Every Job, but Only 25% Are on the Chopping Block

I think it might be time to rethink why we work. Societies fall when they become unable to fix the problems they created by solving other problems that they created. If 25% of the workforce becomes unemployed, or "free", that is a large number of potential manpower to throw at problems to try...

    China Approves 84 New Games

For one, I don't think products would increase 3-5 times. I think it would, at most, cost of products will increase 1.5 to 3 times. Second, If we had a bunch of manufacturing jobs, they would typically offer $25~45/hr, or 2 to 4 times minimum, depending on area. See, we used to live off of...

In fact, it's not just Samsung. Even Apple wasn't selling a lot of iPhones in 2018. 2018 was an incremental improvement over 2017 in terms of smartphone technology. Slighter more pixels, slightly better image quality, slightly better camera(s), removal of headphone jack, higher price, but...

Tesla Will Cut Prices to Combat Tax Credit Phase Out

Ryzen 3000 Processors Listed on Russian Retail Site

It's not like you can't air cool a X2700, but it definitely doesn't maintain boost as well as it could be. The Vcore goes up to something stupid like 1.5V under boost, which just causes the chip to overheat after several minutes using top end air with really good case ventilation.

Ryzen 3000 Processors Listed on Russian Retail Site

From the looks of it, I think 3700X would be the sweat spot that doesn't melt the badly designed VRMs on many X470/B450 boards. 3800X is going to be watercooling only. Heck, it's desirable to have watercooling for a 2700X already.

Panel Makers to Shift Focus to 8K LCD in 2019

I am hoping these 8k displays will force the relevant chip/board makers to finally upgrade to HDMI 2.1. It's quite sad seeing all these 4k displays purport to be 10bit and 144Hz, but not have a connection standard that can actually drive that without dithering.
