Card has been mostly idle or PC off for the last year. Need to sell to put towards business expenses.
Was briefly mined on initially, but not for long as it's in my main PC in the living room and left it off a lot for no noise. I ended up quitting mining around a year ago. Maybe 3-5 hours of...
Phone is in excellent working condition and has always had the case on it. Cosmetically I'll say conservatively 8/10. The case has a scratch in it but otherwise fine. The screen has an extremely faint small scratch that can't be seen unless under direct light when the screen is off.
It is the...
I have the i1pro3 which isn't supported by DisplayCal unless there is a driver work around.
I use Calman Ultimate and was surprised that the monitor had DDC connection. Though I wonder if it really was full support.
The 1dlut autocal (14pt or 17pt I believe) was done which did well to correct...
There is still the ability for an ICC profile, just was very buggy in Calman. DisplayCal doesn't list support for my i1 spectro and wouldn't have a profile for qd OLED yet.
When that changes it will make it easier.
Yeah the raised near black is the exact opposite of "black crush". So shadow details will be very visible, more than they are meant to be.
As a professional calibrator, that not being able to be corrected is more bothersome to me than LG being too dark but correctable.
It also depends on if...
The 1dlut didn't fix the AW from just above black to ~25 IRE from being significantly raised.
LG 2021 models are a little darkened near black which is fixable in multiple ways.
Of the three 48" C1s I've had, one had excessive vertical banding, the other two essentially none that is...
D65 doesn't look like D65 as expected. It's too cyan instead of too pink like WRGB OLED at D65.
The coordinate I ended up at matching a D65 LCD non WCG is x 0.318 y 0.317. Sounds weird to me as well but that's as close as I could get it.
The controls on this monitor are very limited. You only...
I'm going to check D65 but it's very likely to suffer metamerism and need an AWP.
See you on Sunday.
Nice to see you here wizziwig.
Using 10% vs 100% windows definitely measure differently even on WRGB OLED, but it should maintain decent consistency through the grayscale. These appear to have...
Let me know of any tests request. If time permits I'll add them in the review on Sunday.
Going to do the usual measurements for luminance, accuracy, gamut, input lag, spd, and create an alternate white point.
My order was canceled but I will still be spending Sunday with one for a client that got it. He has been breaking it in so it'll have over 100 hours on it for calibration.
I should have the video out Monday morning.
I just got an order delayed email.
Someone I know had theirs shipped and got this deal on it,
I can assure you Dolby Vision in its current state is nothing to worry about.
The technology can be good but the implementation thus far is not. My video on it should be done within the next week or so.
I've actually been working on this for a while, I'm trying to arrange a live stream with...
FALD LCDs have ABL as well. Nearly 300nits full field in SDR is very bright, and would be plenty for bright rooms. It's a little less in HDR, but HDR highlights are hardly ever that much of the image.
The 48 C1 can do 200nits full field in SDR with a bit of tweaking but never would I use it...
I have a 48" C1 and will definitely be doing a comparison.
Do note, side by side comparisons done with them actually next to each other won't work. I do mine by recording them separately with correct white balancing and exposure. Then put them side by side in post.
Otherwise metamerism and...
The LG display factory in GZ China is currently the only one producing WBE "Evo" panels. The older WBC panels they produce also exhibit pink tinting. It's an issue with all of the panels coming from that plant.
That said, the 77" and larger ones have it to a lesser degree. Also, when Sony gets...
Got the discounted rate to show up on phone now and ordered. It made me select something about a school and just selected "2". Whatever that meant. Should be here Wednesday if it goes through and will have review and calibration videos on it.
