yup, did the same shortly after launch. I will more than likely never buy another Battlefield game again either. Battlefield 1 was excellent and besides a couple design decisions such as vehicle spawning that I didn't agree with I had no issue with it. With BFV it almost seemed like a shoddy fan...
When the Speaker of the House is showing all the common folk her $12 pints of ice cream in her $25k freezer while many people are trying to figure out how to pay bills you know our government has its head up its own ass.
I almost say let them focus on cell phone charging so they don't screw up...
I don't mind teamplay and PTFOing but is it cumbersome like Squad or even worse Arma? Squad isn't awful but can be infuriating at times. When there's action it's great but I almost fall asleep playing it.
My wife and I run an air purifier, ceiling fan, 2 small fans on each side of the bed and finally a smart clock playing rain sounds all night. I've become pretty dependent on at least the rain machine or I can't sleep.
I have been drinking a cup of hot chocolate before bed for a couple weeks...
Portal will be the only thing that saves this franchise and that's if it's supported with CONTENT and I don't mean the awful bullshit maps from 2042. We NEED real servers, all the old maps, weapons etc. for the game to survive.
I just can't believe how bad the main game is.
Beta is awful....terrible mechanics that don't match Battlefields system, convoluted fluff, specialist system is terrible and Dice should have stuck with generic soldiers. If Portal isn't good this game will die quickly as the ADD CoD types go to the next fotm game when they get bored.
BF1 was actually pretty good in my opinion. It had excellent maps and probably the smoothest gunplay out of all BF games. It never felt clunky at all which is notorious in BF games. Its almost like a completely different dev made it. BF3 is my favorite but BF1 isn't far behind.
Apparently many people cared enough to not buy the game including myself. The only reason I even have it now is because it was free through Prime a couple weeks ago. Dice could have made the greatest WW2 game to date with Frostbite technology but their focus was catering to an audience.that...
If your testing the game and are unhappy with anything then make sure to leave feedback guys. I won't get to play until the weekend but when I get the email surveys for feedback I always fill them out.
I think you're completely wrong with the draw Portal will have. I'm currently building a $2400 system for a buddy who hasn't played in years almost solely for Portal, remastered classic maps and modes.
Portal will take care of that. We can adjust bullet damage, speed and hitpoints as well as HUD elements. I will either make or be playing servers with as realistic damage as possible with zero HUD elements.
Maybe not where you are but when I see high school kids starting out at $15 an hour to work fast food I think wages on the low end are fine.
Back on topic...when I see the craziness of GPU prices it makes me feel blessed that I lucked out on an FE card last fall for retail.
Game releases on a Friday I believe with early access being exactly a week before. I might do early release day off but saving PTO right now. I've got to pick up a new vehicle a couple states away and want that week off to get a few things done to it whenever the damn thing gets built.
Bought the gold edition from GMG for $76 just now. I was happy with just 2042 but with Portal the longetivity just went through the roof. I can't want to play full on throwback servers of older titles. This is the first game I've been excited about in a LONG time.
base game was $50.99 on GMG.
Maps, armies, weapons etc. will be added throughout the seasons. Its very safe to assume we will get full throwback servers of just 1942, BF3 etc. Add being able to modify weapon damage values, bullet speed, health and even abilities such as prone we could have very accurate representations.
