I cant get away from Comcast here. Its either that or local phone company DSL and 30mb/s for the same or more money than I pay for 200mb/s.
AT&T always soon I will be in their coverage area, but thats been over 10yrs since I started calling them to check
No Im in california.
They came out to my place many times to troubleshoot. A few times they told me they were running new lines in my area soon and it will all be resolved, but they never did AFAIK.
They did run new line from distron on my street to the green dome in my lawn and from that to my...
Agreed on all accounts except the spotty internet I've gotten over the last 9 years here.
I've often wondered if my modem issues were as a result of Comcast sabotaging them or something with their lines that burns out my modems. Comcast modems never last either. I was replacing those every 4-6...
Great! I was hoping MSI was able to select cards individually.
IM gong to make the EVGA a hybrid with their kit.
It is a card that came with a prebuilt and I need to register it with them actually still, I forgot.
I need to register them all....
I have several new PSUs right now all EVGA except...
I have a setback.
My newest 3080 the ftw has a fan issue. 2 if the fans aren't spinning consistently one of which feels almost frozen.
I'll have to repair or replace a few fans..
Maybe time to make it into a hybrid.
Were you using the overclock settings built in nice ass or were using MSI afterburner etc?
If you're using afterburner is it able to select different GPUs to overclock individually?
I can run to AMD card on a separate PC.
I think i heard somewhere when doing multiple GPUs on a single PC you...
So I have 3 different brand 3080s that require different settings, a 3060 that needs a specific driver to get full hashrate, and a 6800. Is it possible to run it all or most of them on a single rig? All Dagger hashimoto? I have all the hardware finally, risers PSUs etc, I just don't know how to...
Yeah I know, but Ive spent SOOO much in the last 4 months on PC stuff i cant budget another modem that the companies wont repair when it fails again within warranty
My other issue with comcast (besides it crashing constantly for last 9 yrs) is my capped 5mb upload speed. Not sure why that is.
In their defense the carriers are usually the same few guys and the USPS lady. They feel comfortable to leave it as I am not a scammer and lived in the same house for 9 years now. But I would prefer they at least make sure I open the door before they leave. There are substitutes sometimes as well.
I get a LOT of packages. Once in a while they will wait for me to open door. Im talking prebuilts with 3080s just left at the door. It says I signed for it (forged and spelled wrong ) too on the tracking info later on. USPS waited for me to answer the door for a package with $18 dollar shirt...
Get your 1080p gaming rig going for low to medium settings, or your your home theater
Those Seasonic's are cheap for the power they output, Nice find!
Im worried about noise as they might end up in my bedroom in the grow tent instead of growing in the tent. I am used to fans at night, but grow fans arent jet sounding, but lower pitched like white noise I guess.
So if I buy the 2kW servers and run 3 GPUs on each they should run silent lol.
Other news I fixed my Dell that was mining on a 3060. They give you a blinking light morse code to help troubleshoot. It was either PSU or MB. I bought 2 PSUs and that didnt help. Bought a MB and had issues still...
Were those ASICs efficient?
It is convenient they way they blow straight out the back?
How loud are those server PSUs?
I was looking at them, but saw the multiple small fans and feel like they might be screamers and not good for in a house.
Might be a last chance to get...
Yeah I think I could try that The grow tent with exhaust out the window.
I'm looking at the Ubit risers right now. I only have 5 gps so price isn't a huge deal.
Might need another PSU though since i have prebuilt generic one and a750 sff psu and 650 watt EVGA
If I did 2 hoses one in and one out...
I won the shuffle.
I realized after entering that it wasnt MSRP but $50 above.
I feel at this point thinking about it that MSRP or below is the price point Im willing to pay. I am done with the shuffle for now I think. The GPUs are overpriced AND gimped.
If anyone is interested in this...
I dont have any windows in my garage, but I cut a 6" lohe in the ceiling last night and installed a 6" server fan to vent into attic. Ill work on more measures next few days and get them out of their cases.
Can anyone recommend some good risers that wont catch fire or have issues?
