    Final Fantasy VII Remake

One of the only games that is on console that I won’t buy on pc. I played the original on ps1 with a controller and I’m enjoying it on my ps5.

    Win 11 pro's? con's? opinions?

I’ve been using it for a while at work and it’s ok. I like it better than 10. I still prefer Pop_OS but still have software compatibility issues with games and software. That list is getting shorter every month. It’s not painful to anything to stay on 11 though.

Diehard Nexus/Pixel user goes 12 Pro Max

I know you mentioned battery life being a factor for things, I get 2 days easy on a charge On my 13 pro max. When the excitement of a new phone wears off and I start using it normally, ill probably be getting 3.

Diehard Nexus/Pixel user goes 12 Pro Max

The amount of work that goes into mods like this make me want to just say get an android. Both ecosystems are great, just realize your priorities and get what’s functionally better for you.

    Windows 11 beta thread

I did early on in the dev cycle. I was very underwhelmed with it in VM. Even when I through a LOT of resources to it, it was sluggish and didn't perform very well. I had it up to 8 cores, 16gb ram, plenty of virtual disk space, and 4gb virtual VRAM and it was still a slide show most of the time...

    Windows 11 beta thread

One of the biggest things that I was surprised about was the compatibility. I know its still just Windows 10 at its core, but I haven't even had a driver issue much less have an issue with a piece of software that wouldn't launch. I think the only real inconvenience so far is some programs that...

    Windows 11 beta thread

Windows 11 just rolled out its official beta release. If you are in it, what are your thoughts on it? I was in the Dev channel but will be reinstalling Windows 10 and going with the beta channel instead. Surprisingly I haven't had any problems beyond a few minor inconveniences. I don't really...

    Win 11 pro's? con's? opinions?

It didn't work at all with my E3 licensed teams. It just said it would be available later. It worked fine with my personal MS account though.

Diehard Nexus/Pixel user goes 12 Pro Max

The story as usual for me. I like both platforms and I think they both have their own ups and downs. You just have to look at what platform has the most pro's for you, or features you can't go without and accept it. Here are the killer features for me - IOS - Hardware integration with the other...

    Win 11 pro's? con's? opinions?

I installed it on my gaming pc and a personal laptop. So far I really like it. I think they realize that people wont mind the telemetry as much if it doesn’t present itself so openly. I don’t see any ads, cortana doesn’t randomly pop up, there’s minimal bloat (if you can call it that, the apps...

This is stupid. Why is admin account necessary?

Because its designed that way? Similar to why you cant change anything on the system in Linux without a root account or sudo. To protect your system from people like you.

    Win 11 pro's? con's? opinions?

I have the DEV channel insider build installing on my Surface Laptop 3 right now. Excited to give it a shot. The leaked version didn't run very well in a VM.

    Win 11 pro's? con's? opinions?

They updated it since I posted. I guess the TPM requirement is a hard wall that is only bypassable by OEMs.

    Win 11 pro's? con's? opinions?

What version? They removed it in a recent version (I think it was version 2004). There was still a way around it by just not having internet connected (either by wifi or from ethernet), but the option was officially removed. It is probably the same on Windows 11 where it wont let you if you are...

    Win 11 pro's? con's? opinions?

The hardware requirement is just a soft floor. As long as your computer supports TPM, you're fine. At worst it wont be officially supported, which who gives a shit about that? Whens the last time you called Microsoft for support? lol...

Windows 11 reveal coming June 24th

There’s other options that are great. Linux is as good as it’s ever been. I use and love Pop_Os personally and think the new version coming out is the best Linux has ever been on the desktop. Apple is great now too since the new M1 chip is insanely powerful. Apple destroyed the notion that their...

    Win 11 pro's? con's? opinions?

I think it's fine. I didn't like the visual look of 10 and this is an improvement. Being able to run Android apps natively on it seems nice too. At this point, I think we all reaize that the things that we hate about Microsoft and the new OS "features" are here to stay. You're going to get ads...

Stock up on tinfoil for Windows 12 maybe? It's coming as an update to Windows 10 free of charge. I guess this dialog will pop up again when the next version or major update comes up again.

Businesses pay for it now. Every new pc has a license that wasn’t free. At my work we have a business licensing for pretty much every product. We still pay per license.

Windows 11 reveal coming June 24th

Microsoft released a music video of all the Windows sounds slowed down and mixed into a low-fi track. It’s exactly 11 minutes long. Everything considered, I’m expecting it to be Windows 11. With that said, I don’t know what to expect. I didn’t hate windows 10, but let’s be honest… most of us...

Would i gain performance by doubling my ram with Win 10

The real question is why does your system use up 9gb of ram idle? I would have looked at background processes and stopped them from opening at startup before I looked at moving to 32gb of ram. The only benefit you would see is if your applications are needing more than the 16 you have, but with...

A lot of people have been speculating that it will actually be Windows 11. The light that is cast from the Windows logo in the announcement picture is shaped like an 11, and they specifically went out of their way to state that the announcement will be at 11am eastern time, instead of their...

    World of Warcraft Classic

I started about the same time but didn’t participate in any raiding whatsoever. It was just leveling for me. I stated raiding hard core content in BC and I’m looking forward to it being rereleased. For me, BC was my perfect version of wow. I’ll probably keep a toon there for arena.

Using Windows 7 Will Get You Hacked?

Honestly I don’t see much of a reason to run 7. Hardware support is better on 10. I couldn’t install 7 on my last three builds. There were key hardware drivers just missing. At best making things like nvme or chipset drivers working are complete hack jobs. Are you planning on staying on 6 year...

    Linux Mint Wifi Problems

WiFi is still kind of a pain. If it’s a dedicated Linux machine, I’ll generally look up a highly compatible m.2 WiFi card. It might have drivers cooked into a different kernel version if it’s a newer chip. You could look up the model number and toss in ”Ubuntu” into the search to get more hits...
