I would assume that the computer manufacturers have to submit a PC for review to them for free. If you look at, it is bascially free advertising. The only downside is when things happen like with the first comptuer, things show up broken or wrong. It gives you a bad review instantly.
I have been looking into getting the Optoma H31 as well. You can pick it up for $1089 with a free 100" screen from Visualapex.com. I still haven't decided on the audio components of my home theater though.
I don't understand why everybody is worried. Go buy a "Built by Nvidia" card, oh wait, you can't. Obviously ATI is just trying to gear themselves towards becoming like Nvidia. Yes they are aiming towards chipsets and oems, but so does Nvidia. It's where the money is. They probably put a lot...
I was able to purchase my ATI X850 XT PE (OEM) $565 with all the accessories from FuturePowerPC.com. I ordered it last Sunday, and it shipped out Monday. It arrived at my door on Wednesday using the FREE UPS Ground shipping that they offered. I am very pleased with the card so far. I haven't...
I have a PC-60, but I literally just ordered the V1000-W about an hour ago. The 1200 is the same as the 1000, but longer. It allows for the Extended ATX mobos, that's about the only difference. I really don't see how people are impressed with these cases, they are definitely worth the money.
Does anybody have any experience with this company? They seem like they are pretty good from everything that I have read, but I would like to get some other feedback. They have great prices, and I am looking to get the ProStar 9096 with the X800. What do you guys think of them?
Well, I updated my webspace with some internal pictures of the LCD mounted in the case and pictures of it coming out. I also took a picture of the switchbox. You can also find pictures of my latest project, my MAME Cabinet. My Link
I just checked the website where I purchased the LCD, but they have since stopped carrying the exact model I have. I bought it from PartsExpress.
As for the quality, it isn't the greatest, but it is still good enough to watch videos on at LAN parties. The resolution can range up to 1024x768...
It is just a 5" LCD from PartsExpress that was meant for a sunvisor/headrest in a vehicle. It was $124 shipped to my house. I used the insides from an old CD-ROM. I mainly just kept the tray and motor. As for a resistor, that is actually only running on 7 volts. 12 volts was way too much...
Well, I finally went to Radioshack and picked up the last few things that I needed to finish my 5" LCD mod. I modded an old CD-ROM drive and used the tray and motor. I attached the LCD to the tray and wired the motor to 7 volts. I then bought a small project box and mounted a reversing switch...
That's where you misunderstood my post. I am having the problem with my A7N8X-VM/400 motherboard. I have the A7N8X-Deluxe Rev 1.04 and a A7N8X-E Deluxe also. I know my way around that motherboard. I am just having the problem with the mATX version. Hopefully somebody will have an idea.
I have looked all over for a jumper and there is no options in the Bios that you can changed. I am have been looking for any information, but I can't seem to find anything. I know somebody has to have this board with a working 333 FSB CPU that can help.
Depending on what frontend you are running, it can be really easy. I am currently running Windows MCE 2004 with Dish Network. It was a DIY HTPC, so I ordered the Generic Philips MCE Remote from Newegg. You just plug it in and then run through the setup for your specific receiver.
Er1kTheRed, I have one of those boards as well. I am using a set of the Kingston HyperX PC4000 256 Meg modules. What I am having a problem on is getting the Ahtlon 2500+ to run as a 2500+. It is only running at 133 FSB and not 166FSB. I can't figure out how to change it. Any suggestions...
Col_Hogan, why did you remove the CD-ROM door? I am using one of these for an HTPC, but I plan on getting another and building a nice LAN Box in one. Probably going with a mATX Athlon 64 motherboard, but I am waiting for either Asus or Abit to release their boards.
I currently have a Mobile 2600+ also. I first tested it on the A7N8X-E Deluxe, but wasn't satisfied with 2500 Mhz @ 12.5x200 @ 1.7 volts. I wanted the higher Mults and more voltage, so I switched over to the Abit NF7-S for a little testing. I was able to hit 2600 Mhz at 1.85, but the power...
