Is there a way to tell the manufacture date on the barcode?
Anyone using a 10-15 foot DisplayPort cable? I need a minimum of 10.. preferably 12-15... something that works at 3440X1440 100hz..
I need a 15 foot cable for the z35p..
anyone have any luck with a cable for this resolution and refresh rate? 3440x1440 at 120 hz
monitor specs say connector is displayport 1.4, my 1080 Ti has DP 1.4, but where do I buy the cables? and a 15 foot one at that..
i have narrowed down to these 2 monitors for my buddy's build, this is his pricerange and wants 1440p ultrawide
Dell U3415W or Samsung S34E90C
Ok thanks guys I'll pass along the information to him, but he isn't entirely techy, and with the holiday it might be a few days until I can go back over there and mess with it.
But from what I have seen, 4k input issues aside, I would NOT recommend you buy this TV.
Motion is blurry, backlight...
Tried both HDMI ports, his GTX 770 wouldn't output above 1080p for either port and claimed that 1080p was "recommended" and the native resolution of the display. We will keep playing with it, and definitely try HDMI-PC = ON as the mouse lag was terrible.
Just helped a buddy set up this TV.. the 65" lg 65UF6450, utter garbage
terrible backlight bleed, poor black levels, motion looks bad, doesn't seem to accept a 4K input over HDMI? (maybe need to mess around with video card settings, but as of now we could only get it to accept 1080p 60hz)
ok nice, and for both GMG and CDKeys, you just get a key and enter it in steam?
Or are these games activated in a different way, I'd rather have them in my steam library
the battlefront pre order from GMG, would then be activated in origin?
go to an apple store to see 27" 5K in person. Text looks incredible.
OS X definitely has scaling down, looks great. Windows scaling will catch up eventually.
The DPI on your phone is significantly higher than your current monitor, and text looks great. Only a matter of scaling..
So I got a 2nd 980, and to my dismay my seasonic 1050xm did not come with wires to hook up multiple gpu's
Apparently I need to purchase the SS-PCI-E-60
goes from a 12 pin connector on the PCI-E slots on the PSU to 2x 6+2 connection for the...
Ah ok, a couple of the guys at microcenter said they heard the Costa Rica chips theoretically were better for overclocking, but perhaps they just wanted to move the older chips
I can't really seem to find any information either way, just curious if there was any merit to their claims
Has there been any reports of certain batches being better than others?
Microcenter near me has a few "costa rica" chips with Batch # 34xxxxxx
and a lot more chips with "malaysia" with Batch # L4xxxxxx
Thanks for the advice dangman! You are most helpful in a lot of build advice threads.
If my primary goal is gaming, just curious why you think the 5820k over 4970k? From what the guys at microcenter were saying, if I were to go haswell-e I should go 5930k at minimum, otherwise the 4970k would...
