Modem: Slow Download Speeds Motorola 7420

It was a bad piece of coax, about 10' long between a line connector under our house to the modem. I just fed the new coax to the tech outside, and bam, good to go. We both inspected the old piece of coax, and there was no physical damage. Anyone have any ideas why a perfectly good piece of coax...

Modem: Slow Download Speeds Motorola 7420

Motorola tech support said pretty much the same thing, and said it was on the ISP side. Comcast is coming today. I'll post back. I have a intuition they are not going to find anything. I hope I'm wrong.

Logitech G Hub - Still Sucking?

I dumped Logitech for ROCCAT. Their mice are moire comfortable and their software works perfectly and is intuitive. Their CS is stellar too.

Modem: Slow Download Speeds Motorola 7420

Tried power cycle and reset. I live in a duplex that shares the connection to the street with my neighbor. Just one coax comes in from the underground street connection and serves both of us. She said her speeds are fine. I went to the ISP office and they ran a test to my house and said...

Modem: Slow Download Speeds Motorola 7420

Motorola 7420 Win 11 All of the sudden, I'm getting 4-5Mbps. I can usually max out around 120Mbps, but I've really felt the slow down since Saturday night. As usual, Comcast says everything on their end is perfect, but didn't send out a tech yet.

    Internal USB C adapter/splitter?

I'm rebuilding in a new case and the new case has a front USB C port. However, my MB only has one 3.1 port . If there a plsitter/passthrough that would allow me to utilize the case's front USB C port, while retaining the USB A ports? I've found the converters that convert the entire internal...

External Drive Showing As Connected to Bluetooth 3.0?

This was just my fault. For some reason I was reading USB 3 as BT 3.0. For fucks sake, I'm gonna check myself in.

External Drive Showing As Connected to Bluetooth 3.0?

There was one other post I found when searching that said the same thing about a Western Digital external drive, which wasn't BT. The thread never specified a reason. DRIVE: https://www.klevv.com/ken/products_details/ssd/Klevv_Cras_C710_SSD.php ENCLOSURE...

External Drive Showing As Connected to Bluetooth 3.0?

Win 11 When I plug an external drive (USB enclosure with a 2880 NVME) it shows up in Bluetooth devices as connected to BT 3.0. If I unplug it, it goes away. It's not a BT device. Stumped me.

Upgrade this Gaming rig, or gut it and rebuild?

Modern computer PSUs are pretty amazing, especially compared to the PSU we use to get when we bought a case. Yeah, cases use to come with installed PSUs. That was way, way back in the day, in the 90s. And as shitty as they were with ripple and etc., we never had one destroy any hardware. Power...

Yeah it doesn't matter, except for PSU initial cost.

Upgrade this Gaming rig, or gut it and rebuild?

This thread on nVidia certainly supports your position: if your oscilloscope can measure with, say, millisecond resolution then it would be normal to observe such power spikes, though I am a bit surprised that they would reach as high as 600W. While CPU and GPU power spikes are usually not in...

Upgrade this Gaming rig, or gut it and rebuild?

Most of the time, like right now writing this response, our PSU are operating at less than 10%. Right now my GPU and CPU combined are using 24 watts. I have a Corsair 550 RTX PSU. Plenty of power and more efficient at lower wattage than 1000 watt versions. Even tapping out my rig playing games...

Upgrade this Gaming rig, or gut it and rebuild?

I wouldn't go with a 27. 32 inch can be had for nearly the same price. I got this one in Dec 2020 and have had no problems at all with it. Going for 279.00 right now on Amazon...

Bad Juju :( Black screen on boot

You need to read the thread. I already replaced the MB with the new Gigabyte B550 version. Posted immediately with no video problems. After the old board came back, I installed the CPU and again, no video.

Bad Juju :( Black screen on boot

Just an update to help others. Gigabyte sent the board back saying after 'extensive' testing, the board was not defective. I tested it again and it did the same thing: no video output. Since this was the 3rd time, they paid for shipping (after 50+ dollars to ship it twice since I've had it). I...

That's what i was thinking. I think they are all sourced from the same manufacturers, then just rebranded.

Anyone have a link to a radiator review that does a PSI test for flow restrictions and cooling? One reviewer on Amazon said his Barrow radiator was full of metal and he had to flush it like 13 times to finally get everything out of it. Very unimpressive. Anyone heard of this brand: Dracaena...

    First Custom Loop

120mm is definitely on the lag. However, up until a few weeks ago, they were there. There are a lot of them, actually, just not in white and low stock across the board. The companies are making them, but the new Covid lock down and China Covid spread is once again restricting products.
  22. D

    First Custom Loop

They both look exactly the same, like they were made in the same factory. Only a couple of those blocks available anywhere in Acrylic/silver. Really low stock due to China's Covid lock down I guess. Two downsdies to the screen, I think it's TN but not sure. Still trying verify that. It's TFT, so...

    First Custom Loop

I'm about ready to pull the trigger on these items, but stock on everything is really low. I'll have to go to Titanrigs website to get the block and Performace pcs to get a radiator. There are almost zero 120mm x 28mm white radiators in stock currently, anywhere, and the same for this block in...

    First Custom Loop

I'm mainly wanting to build a custom loop for aesthetics only. I'm not at all into OCing (last time I was into that was back in the early X58/i7 920 days, circa 2008). Just don't care about that anymore. I'm using a 240 version of the Enemax Aquafusion to cool my 3600, and it does it...

    First Custom Loop

Damn right it should have had room for a 140mm rad in the top. Horrible oversight. The bottom mount for the fan doesn't pull air in from the outside. It's not connected to any air outside of the case. The best it can do is act like a mixer to mix or blow air internal upwards. The rez on the...

    First Custom Loop

Actually, I was looking at the EK offering. I'd still want a rez though, which kinda defeats the purpose, becasue it's only going to be a 120mm rad :( It's a good idea though having an AIO like setup, but custom tubing.
  27. D

    First Custom Loop

It's not that. I can get that done. It's purely that I'm constantly sacrificing my mind's eye as to how I want it to look. I have to be realistic about the design aesthetics, and honest with myself. I really do want it to work. Also, I'm wondering how one 120mm thin radiator will cool, given...

    First Custom Loop

No, not technically vacuum sealed, but you know what I mean: The liquid is help in place by a vacuum. I didn't understand that. I'm really not feeling a loop in this case, man. I'm having to sacrifice too much aesthetically just to get it in the case.
  29. D

    First Custom Loop

That's because you don't first explain the fundamentals, like it is a pressure system that holds the liquid in stasis. What that means to me is that the pump is air tight, and liquid can't come back through the pump between shots into either the rad, tubing, or rez. Others have since explained...

    Good point there.

    First Custom Loop

This is the type of problem I was inquiring about, since my pump/rez combo will be beneath both the block and rad (and all I have is CPU cooling).
  32. D

    First Custom Loop

    OK that makes more sense.
  33. D

    First Custom Loop

Where do you fill it, though? To get the rad full you need to have the fill valve at or above the rad itself. Then you have to be able seal the port, or keep the tube intact and seal the end of the tube?
  34. D

    First Custom Loop

That pump/rez is going to lying flat on the bottom of the case, not mounted on the radiator over the top. So the rez is going to be beneath both the block and the rad. Won't the water just run back down into the rez?
  35. D

    First Custom Loop

"see the hex head spot?" Which pixel? lol. My radiator will be in the top. I have a thin 25mm rad picked out, two in fact, since one is no not available until after WW3. The radiator is going to be in the top agasint the case. How would I fill it like that? There has to be some sort of fill tube...
  36. D

    First Custom Loop

With my set up, the rez is on the bottom, the lowest point in the loop. The next highest is the block, then the rad mounted in the top. However, I'll not be cooling my graphics card, so mine is a much more simple piping. This is pretty much how I envision the placement of my rez (which is the...

    First Custom Loop

A better question is how do you fill it? I've been trying to figure out how to get mine filled without a dedicated fill tube.

Which wold be best. Some people say the 16mm looks too big for a small build, but the 12mm OD is too wimpy looking.

Yeah got that. Which OD, 12, 14, or 16mm?
