    My first watercooled build

Yeah I went from a TJ09 to the Switch 810 and I'm pretty happy. The TJ09 definitely has better build quality but the NZXT is still respectable and has much better cable management options. The white really sold me though, it's a refreshing change from running so much black and silver in the past.

    My first watercooled build

Thanks for helping answer some of the questions JLangevin! In regards to the tubing and monsoon fittings... Yes the tubing is 1/2"ID and 3/4" OD and the fittings are very secure on it. Here are the exact fittings I used...

    My first watercooled build

Hah yeah, when trying to figure out what I wanted to build, I ran across a pic of his rig (when he had the clear tubing with red dye) and shot him a PM asking for some more details on his loop. We got to chatting and he ended up teaching me pretty much everything I needed to know to build my...

Warm... Crucial M4 128 GB for $141 shipped

It isn't rubbish and it isn't misleading at all... Two SSD drives in RAID that are dirty and do not support trim and have inefficient GC are slower than a single drive with trim. This is a very real issue here. I'm not here to deter from the thread so we can continue the conversation via PM's...

    [Smoking Hot] Crucial M4 256Gb - $261.99 - FS - Amazon

The Crucial M4 still uses the Marvell 88SS9174 controller (like the Corsair Performance Pro) so it is much better suited for RAID than SandForce but is still considerably behind the Performance Pro in environments without TRIM (i.e. RAID) as seen here...

Warm... Crucial M4 128 GB for $141 shipped

You don't want to RAID SSD drives due to lack of trim support. You'll end up with two drives that are slower than a single drive.

    [Smoking Hot] Crucial M4 256Gb - $261.99 - FS - Amazon

If you're talking RAID 0, you really don't want to RAID any SSD drives except the newer Intel ones or the Corsair Performance Pro series. The reason is that trim is not supported in SSD raid yet (it's a driver issue, not the fault of the SSD). Intel announced last November that they are...

Diablo III Won't Have PvP Features at Launch

I don't really care how people feel about the demo. I think I'll decide for myself if it's good or not and after seeing the trailers it looks like business as usual. If not, then at least it will be a refreshing break from the likes of CoD and BF. So, thanks for saving me a few bucks OP!

    firefox home tabs question

I'd just modify your Firefox shortcut so that it handles the task of launching your tabs. From there, you can just CTRL+N to launch new windows without re-launching all the new tabs. You can do this with a command like the following: C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe...

    Raid options...

Only real disadvantage is loss of storage space. If you raid drives of separate capacities, the smallest capacity is used. So, 500GB & 750GB raided gives you 1TB of storage (500gb x 2). Raid a 750 and a 1TB and you end up with 1.5TB (750x2).

    Raid options...

Well, is it a 8MB or 16MB cache raptor? The 8MB cache ones are considerably slower I thought. If I were you, I'd do this: 1. Ditch the raptor, especially if its the 8MB version. 2. Use the 2x 320's in RAID 0 for both OS and games. 3. Use the 750GB for your general data storage (movies...

    SATA II compatibility

I'm pretty sure my math is fine. As I said, I was stating the theoretical limit, which technically is 192MB/s. It is not my wish to de-rail the thread when regardless of how you look at it, his single 1TB drive won't experience any performance loss. But, if you insist, here is how I arrive at...

    SATA II compatibility

1.5 gigabits = 192 megabytes. But it's not fair if you don't count the 20% 8b/10b encoding overhead so I was doing a ninja edit when you caught me :) Regardless, he won't experience any performance loss.
