I just ended up going from i7 920 to xeon x5650 and bumped the memory to 12GB, great upgrade. going to wait for cheaper ddr4 and next gen cpu before considering upgrading.

we just took our server down... Utilization is about 6% for open slots vs number of players online. Yea abit saturated. Realistically without mods or custom maps, there is VERY few things that separate each server. Haven't heard any clans scrimming and twl competition is poorly...

switched between directx9 and directx10, couldnt tell any difference. I wonder if you saving types like improved textures for the retail.

I got a 4850 running BC2 at 1920x1200 and in all high settings without fps issues.... Only setting I changed from default is forced directx = 9 in the user settings .ini file gl with the 4890..... I think I will wait till another dx11 sub $200 option comes along.
