Rigid tubing is not like steel it has some flex, as do your components. It is hard to explain in words but you cut exact lengths and then "work" the tube in. Rigid tubes can flex a bit to allow you that tight squeeze into place. Sockets can as well, you will notice that pcie slots have a little...
I do not wish to offend anyone but any recommendation of a flow filter in a PC custom loop is bad and should not be on these forums. Flush your rads with hot water, boiling if it makes you feel better. With new rads fill them with hot water and shake the shit out of them to remove any flux...
Nice setup. It is ridiculous that EK charges almost 600 for that block and backplate(do not care if its active.) This is why EK is struggling. Dont get me wrong, I like the blocks and your setup.
I may have not used the right wording. Let me clarify, please. I am on these forums praising the flt reservoirs a couple of years ago, when they first came out and I bought 2. At that time they were around 150 usd for the 240 pump/d5 combo. What a great value! Since that time they have released...
Are there any small business/custom/unique case makers out there any more? Any failed kickstarters that will still offer products? Please dont say MountainMods(love them, scratched that itch years ago) and do not say singularity(2000 plus for an acrylic distroplate with legs???Barrowch offers...
This is sad but I am surprised and not surprised at the same time. They just havent been that innovative, none in the watercooling market have. I have become an enthusiast that stretches my components and gets pleasure out of redoing my loop with a new case and new pieces every year rather than...
Not really a thread derailer, just makes me look dumb. Can I decouple myself from logging into a microsoft account when I upgrade to 11 or do I need to do a clean install? Also can you all let go of your weird internet pride and say if this topic is bullshit or not. Not everything has to be an...
Your contact looks good brother. Those cpu block screws are meant to be hand tightened, that is why they are thumb screws. Please dont take a wrench to them.
Temps in the high 80's with averages in the 60's seems normal for zen tbh. I have a 3700x through three different loops and two high end blocks and way overkill on rads. Those temps fall right in line. 6900 stays under 40 no matter what the cpu runs hotter than seems right. I am about to upgrade...
Right I have a 480 and a 360, it is an all AMD build. I got lucky and got a 6900xt at close to MSRP. I am one of those that got a shitty bundled gigabyte psu. CPU is a 3700. CPU hits low/mid 50's under load, gpu is much cooler in the 40's. I agree on the offfsets, it looked better in my head.
I had very High ambitions when I started this build. Some parts I am proud of. Primarily I am really happy with how the cables look especially coming off of the video card. It was my plan to try and use as many of the fittings I had collected over the years to give it a mechanical layered look...
Can anyone point me to a video guide specifically about this? I am about to try my hand with satin acrylic and I understand that the tubing will discolor under heat. I have no problem bending acrylic but have never worked with a satin finish. Any advice appreciated.
I use strictly opaque, I like the way it looks. Fluid has come a long way and many of the "never opaque" club hasn't used any in years. I have had great experiences with mayhems pastel purple and EK's pastel white. Using both those for 2 plus years, no maintenance. I have had an issue with color...
I suppose being able to see the pump spin is a new and interesting twist. Still, you have to include a pump at this price. Its aluminum and acrylic, it just cant be justified at that price.
The last time we saw an update from Singularity in terms of reservoirs was a strangely shaped distro for close to $400, no pump included. It seems they have updated the protium series by mounting the D5 sideways, allowing for different mounting positions, sort of. I know that singularity has...
Well that is useful.
Reading through these pages, the overall consensus seems to be that this is a very good to great monitor at this size and at around $1000. It seems that if you prefer a bright monitor in a room, in the daytime, or with the lights on and you want a BFGD, then pull the...
I don't understand your review. In all those pictures the Aorus looked much crisper and accurate than the CX. The CX looks washed out and blue in all those pics. What am I missing.
I really like those Heatkiller reservoirs but refuse to buy something that comes without mounting hardware. Makes no sense and makes it just bad value. Welcome back to water cooling, nice build.
hititnquitit touched on this, but go with HWLabs GTS slim rads over corsair. Now even though I prefer HWLabs, EK slim rads have perfectly square edges and can, sometimes, fit in tight spaces better than other rads.
It's 120hz over hdmi 2.1 and 144 over DP. Both hdmi and displayport can use DSC, DP was just the first to use it. The application, not the port, decides, if i understand it correctly. DSC is also visually lossless, it is a way to get higher refresh rates.
Recieved mine yesterday. Unplugged my old wasabi mango 55 and plugged this in with display port. It fired up at 144hz out of the box. Compared to the mango colors seem more vibrant, less muted. The monitor is nice and bright, but not overly. I expected to be blinded, but it is just pleasant...
That price came into my inbox and I cancelled my pending cx 48 and pulled the trigger. I think after 5 years I have decided my Wasabi Mango 55 is just too big for 2-3 feet away. I definitely believed all of you about the greatness of the cx but I had 2 reasons to hesitate. Brightness(I hate...
I recall a post here on these forums asking for help with bends that were collapsing/flattening. The usual responses were given, add more heat, no that's too much heat etc. After a few builds I have settled on 14mm OD as my size of choice, am real familiar with it and have two or three silicone...
It is not about Dell. It is about the proliferation of these " Im on this team" articles, where there is nothing to see but the author makes a click bait article because they know that under the current climate there is a handwringing group of rabid fanboys ready to pounce at any percieved...
Didnt want to get into this but, ok, I will refute the main point. Both intel and amd systems are listed as "gaming" desktops, in the same font, all caps and everything. Done.
