I just want naked ram modules with same specs as the ballistix; not a fan of the gaudy heatsinks and RGB. The naked ram modules the manufacturers sell now are always the bottom of the barrel timings.
Wow, counted on tons of reviews from that site. I remember a great user base on the forums, many laptop issues and mods are model specific so tons of info hidden in the forums. I didn't realize they were in trouble.
I run a 3080 vertical in a o11d with the EK vertical (standard) kit. I run all fan positions and had to change my fan orientation for bottom fans to exhaust and side fans to intake but overall pretty happy with the results in the case (when I kept my original fan orientation I got worse temps)...
FYI
Double dipped last time this was this price at BB; bought on release day for PC ofc. Found out that there is no user-definable FOV like on PC. For a guy who gets motion sick too easily I can't really play it on console as a result. Maybe they will add it later, probably not.
I'm super behind on the insider info but.... secondary market prices dipped and went back up slightly. LHR cards have been partially un-LHR'd by way of mining software update. There's other news about manufacturing fab costs going up and I swear I saw something about memory prices coming down...
I love my S but the internal nvme allows enough disk space for maybe 2-3 AAA games and the 1tb upgrade costs $190-$220 which is more than half the cost of the system. Desparate for space, I installed an external 2tb slow-bro laptop drive today with a $10 usb3 interface and will see how it does...
Can you tell physically or even via software if a CPU has been undervolted and overclocked? Same difference really. Any miner worth their salt will undervolt to save electricity and max out the overclock on the memory to maximize hashrate. AMD GPU's have needed bios hacks to bypass limits but...
My issue is. How can we be sure that these cards aren't gimped somewhere else or will be gimped sometime else in the future? How would you like buying a car and not getting the full performance out of the thing that you paid for? I guess Dieselgate is an interesting example of that. Who...
Anyone have issues using XMP with this board? Using run of the mill t-force ddr4 and system seemed less stable using XMP. My BIOS is older, I should update it.
Frys was honestly dead long before covid hit, they had embarrassingly barren shelves for quite some time. Great memories though, our store always had some particularly attractive returns employees.
We need guys like MLID to talk about elephants in the room but.... If stock was so low that AIB cards sold out as fast as FE cards, I don't exactly see how nvidia is rolling in the dough any more or less than with other launches.
I shouldn't be so mad about this but Ikea's processes really couldn't handle the demand for furniture well during these past few months. I had to axe my dreams of a big ass ikea desk after striking out through June and July and checking their online stock daily. They also have a history of...
Felt like it was a good time to snag a 1080ti FTW3 which will supplant a 1660ti; honestly overkill since I don't play anything near cutting edge titles but I upgraded to a 1440p 144hz monitor this year. $350 is a stretch in my book but I just can't see the 2 series dropping that hard until the...
I've got an old skool Prolimitech Megahalems heatsink I'd like to adapt to AM4. Prolimitech no longer supports for AM4 but hoping a cooler master or Noctua mounting kit might be a viable solution... anyone have any experience or advice?
Board would be b450 Tomahawk.
All I have found is this...
This stuff makes me motion sick, walk into Costco every time and I SMH at the awful motion smoothing. As I get older I realize I easily get motion sick though.
