FYI, regarding my Toxic's OC, I overclocked it and got 955/1420. I've yet to continue pushing it further, just did a rough OC with 15 minutes of Furmark stability check. I haven't done any game stability tests yet. As for temperatures, I'm getting ~73C at 50% fan (getting quite loud at 50%...

Yes it came with Dirt 3. No Deus Ex. I used Trixx to save the bios. I haven't OC'ed it yet (haven't had the need to), but I will over the weekend and let you know the results. :)

Update for you: Got mine in today, put it in, saved the BIOS first (just in case), and then shut down and flipped the BIOS switch. Fortunately for me, it unlocked! Success! Now time to overclock. :D

The cooler is different, isn't it? The Toxic uses the vapor chamber cooler.

If you go 6950, get one with at least 2GB of memory. Not really, no. Marketing scheme. ;)

If you get a XFX, at least get one with dual fan. The single fan versions run really hot apparently.

In SLI, the vram doesn't add up since it runs parallel in each card. So it will be still equivalent to 1.2 GB of vram.

Before, SSD size was like 32GB, but now you can easily get ones that are ~100GB or more. No reason not to put some of your most played games on there to load quicker. You can also use apps like SteamMover to switch between putting them on the SSD and HDD. Honestly, on a new build like...

I don't think that you'll see a big difference if BF3 is really what you're looking at. I have an i7 920 at 4GHz and honestly, it's still really really fast. I don't plan on upgrading until Haswell. For BF3 your video card would probably be much more important. If I were doing a lot of...

I just ordered one too! Have been waiting for these to come up for a while. Does anyone know how the Vapor-X cooler on the Toxic compares to the MSI TF3? It was a tough decision going between the two, but the easy (hopefully) unlockability of the Toxic won over. I'm just a bit concerned...

Just curious, since you seem to know a lot about fan technology, what types of fans are good regarding SLI/Crossfire if the slots are close (I have a EVGA X58 board), or is it just not possible with any fan? :p Of course, I realize the top one will get hotter in any situation.
