I have this exact model that I grabbed on a deal not too long ago. The stock cooler on it is garbage. Even at idle it makes an annoying humming sound and gets too hot. Granted, if your overall system is loud you might not notice. I use a Fractal R4 with quiet fans and a quiet Seasonic , for...
GDI, 3/4 of my steam list of games hasn't been touched.. but I bit, too good a price to pass up.
Also, you can get 5% off your order with "elder-geek.com" code - probably not much, but it can add up if you're getting a few.
I have this card, and I will agree, at this price, it's better to pony up for a better cooler. Even at idle it makes an annoying droning sound - it might be fine for people that have already loud cases but I got a R4 and built my case around keeping it somewhat quiet. Plus on load, the card...
I believe codes will activate regardless of where you live (though I'm not 100% positive). I live in Canada, but have lived in the US before and my gf has a US CC with a US address. I bought an Origin game on her account (Amazon US) and just clicked on 'Get Code' from the invoice. I was then...
IIRC, these tend to be in the mid $40's range most of the time, so the price is decent but not spectacular - these are priced about right. As reviews mention, the pads are kind of crappy. Its older sibling, the M50, is very well regarded for gaming/good bass type headphones.
I've only heard...
I was just helping a friend get it, and he got the same message. Either Mcsft closed it down, or the number of license keys per that program code has run out. I tried it on another Hotmail account, and everytime I add it, it says Basket is empty.
Seems they're having deals on these.
$215 shipped @ Newegg with code EMCNJJE22

They also have a 120GB Kingston HyperX 3K for around $90 - so warm deal. It's not as good (price/quality) as the $70 deals for the 830, but SSD...
As poster above stated, for a bit more, you can get a much better price/GB ratio from the 120GB and above deals. That said, I love mine and from what I understand, is one of the best ones you can get if you must have a low-capacity/64GB for whatever reason.
Thanks for the heads up, was waiting for a deal again after it went OOS the last time @ Newegg.
FYI: The single stick, 1x4GB, has a free (3-5 day) shipping option (you don't have to meet the $25 requirement) even if you buy a single stick.
You can check a local store. I scammed a friend into getting one for me, even with the ~7% tax, it's better than anything else I can get (far away from a MC). The price in store might show full, he had to ask the manager to price match it to online.
This is likely a pricing error but I placed an order regardless - sears.com, who the heck orders from them? I think I probably should have done a faster shipping method vs. the free slow shipping. They also have 'Pick form store' option though not sure how fast that is...
Did you get the AD500 or the 700? $110 seems pricey for the 500. This is a nice price, as they usually tend to be in the $70 range. The AD700 as been at the $100 ballpark for a while now.
I want to try the 668B's. I'm thinking you might want to try the 681 instead, that's what I have and I...
Few things that would make me stay away even though it's a decent price.
- 15 day warranty as most have pointed out
- Since it's 15 day, it's unlikely EVGA refurbished, theirs is usually 90 day
- I think EVGA officially refurbished have a RX suffix at the end to denote the part number
Xbitlabs has one of the most comprehensive reviews on the Sandy Bridge Pentiums: http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu/display/pentium-g850-g840-g620.html
Before they did the review, most of the information/benches I had to gleam from Chinese review sites. Other sites generally don't seem to...
I'm not a fan of the AD series in general, but at this price point, I doubt anything can approach it in terms of value from any of the other well known headphone brands. Just one thing to bear in mind is that they leak a lot ... but heck at this price, I would just keep it on hand as a beater...
I didn't see one, but I've been keeping an eye on Superbiiz since I wanted to pick up a SB setup on the cheap. They usually have codes every once in a while but they're generally $5 off or 10% with $10 max. With the code, the 2100 comes close to $99 bare CPU MC price.
Yeah, I missed the Asrock...
Ah I see. Didn't know the extent of the benefits. I tried looking for information earlier on, but the amount of spam when looking up any information on Rift is astounding (from plain Google searches).
Didn't want to start a separate thread for this, but thought people with no access to a MC that wanted a SB type combo might be interested in a similar deal. Superbiiz has some decent deals once in a while when they have code discounts. Picked this up to replace an aging Pentium D S775 box...
Great price !
Direct link for Amazon's one: http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Professional-High-Performance-850-Watt-CMPSU-850AX/dp/B003PJ6QW4/ref=sr_1_3?m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1309396652&sr=1-3
Not too bad a deal, but it's not crazy good. For a gaming budget box, I'd still get some sort of an Intel 2100 combo. Since this a BE you might have more potential if you OC, but you'd want to get a better PSU+Heatsink which means more $$$. At stock, the 2100 is comparable in gaming and does it...
The 2100 doesn't have Turbo and is completely locked, no overclocking. From the anandtech benches you found (I use that review as a reference too), you can see for $99 you can't go wrong.
Agreed, it may be better deal in terms of current games for some. But the 2500k has higher benchmarks than the 2100. Though, when you look at frame rates, the 2100 does it good enough for most games and does far better than most of the AMD gaming chips.
That being said, some games favor more...
I think they might be targetting people with existing X58s. But the odd thing is that, most ones being sold are 920's, which almost anyone else with a X58 will have, so no point really asking for that high a price. And from gaming standpoint, there's 0 reason to invest in a X58 platform compared...
Yeah I'm on the fence whether to pick this up or not. The ASUS 460/1GB I picked up for $120AR not too long ago has been great so far, hardly ever hear it. I want to get another for SLI, but I also don't want a wind tunnel hoover effect; managed to get decently quiet components in my upgrades.
Yeah Amazon's price varies widely, sometimes a matter of hours even. If this was posted in other forums, the bot or whatever may have probably caught on and raised it, or it was a short lived low price. Have to keep an eye on it more than likely to catch it at a lower price point.
Most definitely--but like I said above, nothing wrong, it's not the vendors fault. But if a competitor offers shipping all the way including returns, guess where I'll be shopping. This is if we're strictly comparing online retailers. If we expand the scope to B&M stores, most have a reasonable...
Yeah, this is standard practice among all the e-tailers--nothing new. People just flock to Newegg, because rightly so, they have good initial sales service. However, you pay shipping back, and there's no such things as no questions asked buyers remorse, they just slap you with a restocking fee...
