I was already using the latest driver with my GTX 460 / 8600GT combo and it didn't have the issue. 6xx series specific then. The guy on the Nvidia forum with this issue went through the trouble of switching from his 680 to a 670 and swapped out his motherboard and still has the same problem.

It hasn't worked like you'd expect once, it has only failed to bring up the TV properly. Hoping it's a driver bug...the card is great otherwise. When I turn the TV on, both monitors go blank for a second while the card detects everything. Then the TV shows up like this in the control panel...

Was leaning towards the card. Never had this issue when the 8600GT was driving the TV. I could always put the 8600GT back in and run two cards again.

The Gigabyte Windforce model looks like the best value among the 670s. I have a windowed case that's inverted ATX so I can actually see the heat sink / fan on my card. Waiting for the Asus, looks way better. Can't wait to finish my SB build...........

The midrange market is garbage right now. ATI's offerings are underwhelming and Nvidia is taking an eternity to release anything. I'm still waiting for something decent in the $300-350 range to replace my 460 so I can max BF2 at 1920x1200.

Against all odds, this gen has become even more of a joke.

Last AMD card I had was a X1800XT. CCC was garbage then and people still seem to have the same complaints today. Had lots of issues with the card waking and sleeping the monitor. Updating drivers was a nightmare, during the reboots the card would often refuse to display any video.....several...

After the X1800XT, I probably won't be buying AMD again either. The drivers were a disaster.

Yeah I am aware that the GK104 GPUs may not have been intended to be flagship and that's certainly part of the problem.
