Great info, I will try, too.. Because I found, after modified EDID, there is no sound on the right side audio-out port.. After all, I didn't try before, so..
I tried change to back with Powerstrip, but din't work with HD4000..
Btw, is there anybody how use that port for...
After 5 year; 12000 working hours; capacitor fix; EDID change... My LG L245WP was died.. It turn on, but the color levels are terrible.. I found a value set with the screen quality is so-so, but monitor need to be retire... The service's tip the problem is with the driver board, so..
Yepp, it's very good monitor.. Capacitor problem is nothing.
I use this monitor at least 4-5 years, 10 hours/working day, so, it's about 11000 turned-on hours.. :) And it's still okay. On top of the panel there is a little area, seems like dirty, so isn't 100%, but nothing else..
Yes, of course, but do it carefully and make backup!
Solution for L245WP/L246WP:
1. Export existing EDID -> in Raylar EDID DAT format (Phoenix, monInfo, SoftMCSS)
2. Modify EDID -> extension blocks = 0, don't mod other data! (create backup, open with Phoenix EDID editor, than save)
I read this forum long time ago, because I had this display shifted issue with HDMI, too..
Used Nvidia card, there was driver hack, OK.
Used Ati card, there was CCC solution, OK.
But a few months ago I use integrated Intel GMA4500 and with that all reg hack were useless...
