Still using a touch screen nano, it’s in my garage plugged into an old Altec 2.1 setup. Love that it’s got an FM tuner. Apple sent it to me as a replacement for an earlier version that was recalled(?)... don’t remember the details.
You have no idea what you’re doing. Leave it alone. The card automatically and dynamically lowers the GPU and VRAM clockspeeds when you’re not gaming. You’re achieving nothing by messing with it.
Yeah, come on how is anyone supposed to distinguish between 5800X and 5800X3D... those designations look completely identical!
/s ... as if that was really necessary
LOL yes, I'm sure that the reason that 1920x1080 is the top resolution BY FAR is because people are using Steam as a chat platform and not because that's what they game at.
6/10 of the most popular cards are **60 and only 3/10 are **50 (plus 1/10 **70) so I think it's pretty safe to say that...
Gamer for 40+ years (Jesus I’m old!) and also completely unfamiliar with the FF series. Too many games and too little time to check out something that doesn’t interest me.
Gross. 20% increase in manufacturing cost usually results in a more significant increase in retail. Unless of course if the manufacturers absorb the increase... bwahahahahahaha
But mining isn’t the only factor at play. You think that’s what’s driving the shortages in the automobile manufacturing? Demand for wafers is high all around. ETH going down isn’t going to immediately make cards available. But hey, if the OP is cool with riding it out for however long it takes-...
There is no guarantee that is going to happen. And, with all the shortages in the electronics industry, I expect things to stay this way for quite a while. What’s it worth to be able to game for the next six months? Is it worth paying a premium? It was for me- I bit the bullet and paid a bit...
I don’t think any legit Canadian retailers even have listings for the AMD cards so that’s not a surprise. Any of the ones listed probably came from the USA.
Except that they are available- there are dozens available just not from the normal channels. Any one of us could buy one right now if we were willing to pay the scalper tax. I’m not, but lots of people are and as long as people keep paying the inflated prices, the scalpers will continue to...
Finally lucked out and was able to score an Aorus Elite X570 and a 3600 from a local store. Kind of settled for the 3600 as it seems like at this point it’s a take what you can get situation even though I really wanted a 5600.
It’s not just video cards.... I decided to finally build a new system and finding anything is tough... all the decent motherboards are OOS, CPUs, RAM. I’ve never seen it like this before. Stores are running out of shit to sell.
Actually, what he advocates is don't update immediately, wait to see if there are issues being reported, then update if there aren't. Basically let other people be the guinea pigs. It's a valid strategy although not for every user or every situation and the site is targeted at single users not...
But Fortnite items and currency are virtual. You can use actual money to buy in game currency to get items but you can’t do the reverse- there’s no way to sell/trade skins or items that I’m aware of.
Watched both episodes, not bad, I’m looking forward to the next one. Just typical fluffy entertainment as far as I’m concerned- I don’t see all this other bs you guys are arguing about.
That was my first reaction too just seemed weird that they would be priced the same if the RTX is superior. I’m also wondering about the quality of the Gigabyte versus the Asus- my only experience with Gigabyte was a motherboard years ago that didn’t last while I’ve always found my Asus boards...
Both these cards are available at the same price. Gaming at 1080p, which do you suggest? Why?
Gigabyte RTX2060 Windforce OC
versus
Asus ROG Strix GTX1660Ti Advanced Edition
