I think it was hit and miss on the 48 CX I tried 2 years ago. What helps is if it's the only display connected and you do a bios reset after., not sure why.
Real Garbage is what I see...specs from 3 to 5 years ago. Why would anyone buy this and not a G7 Neo for just a bit more? Conversely the aw3423dw acts as a very good 27.3" HDR monitor as well for the PS5..
Still live after an hour, looks like the PS5 is about to officially stop having a resell market, took only 20 months but here we are. As benign as bundles go, can't have a PS5 and not play HFW, kinda like having a XSX and no Halo Infinite..

Practically GA (Horizon Disc Bundle) iff any one still needs one. Need to login via PSN to buy like always.
This monitor is for HDR and refresh rate, SDR use doesn't do it justice, yes uniformity and no BLB are great over IPS displays but not where it's true strength lies.
So I recently got a S28G70A side monitor from work, a highly regarded 4k 144Hz HDMI 2.1 screen and connected a PS5 to it for HFW but as good as the monitor is for an IPS, I'd still drawn to this for the sheer gamut and HDR, 1080p 120 Hz HDR on this beats 4k 144 Hz kinda HDR :) (decent for 8 zone...
Lol again the hating on miners crap...neither a true believer (would be much richer if I was) nor a hater but setting up mining rigs over the past 18 months added a lot to my working knowledge of PC hardware so definitely a worthwhile experience even if I end up in the red at the end of the day...
Agree to disagree there, have seen it happen in practice with multiple cards with use. You need to subject it to a 24/7 load for a few days, intermittent gaming for a couple of hours a day doesn't work.
Had two 3090 FEs both excellent with minimal whine, note you need to break in cards to reduce whine for some cards and a few days of eth mining is all it takes.
The FE 3070 is a perfectly fine card and I'd argue one of the best GA104 implementations, you do not need a FTW3 type monstrosity for this die, I had 6 GA 104 cards two weeks ago so speaking from experience. The logical part of my brain wants me to return mine tomorrow though since it's not...
3070 FE dropping easy on BB, was able to order one 40 mins after initial alerts lol, still not sure why? I'm actively trying to sell the one I do have but 2 years of card hunting has made it impossible to resist clicking on submit order on any GA 104 FE card :( Will just cancel it later.
PS5s drop on Target local multiple times a day, and while new FE 60 ti, 70 or 80 are few at BB that's because they are barely made but like new ones are selling at or below cost at usual places, sold my 60 ti fe at cost here, unimaginable few weeks ago and my 70 fe is still up for cost.
History is a good indicator of the future till it isn't, anyhow profitability is so low currently and not getting better even if miners' dream of no POS somehow materializes that it doesn't matter. Also delays aside, it's counterintuitive to bet that the main thing eth developers are working on...
Once ETH goes POS (and now it is inevitable in the next 3-4 months) there may not be a profitable coin for GPU mining for a long long time. BTC may still go up, but not sure of ETH and it's derivatives.
Anything that causes CrApple issues is good in my book :) There really is no reason that nearly every connection cannot just be TB4 now (just use the base USB C 2.0 subset for cheaper applications), including power & data of any kind be it displays, ethernet etc. etc. One connection to rule them...
Maxwell and Pascal had some issues too though for a couple of weeks and nothing approaching Ampere-Gate. The 970 in particular was close to 500 for many weeks after launch despite being a 300 part I think.
With good PSUs, nothing bad happens, just OCP is triggered and the system shuts down. Happened a couple of times on my mining extension when OCs got reset for some reason and the cards started pulling 1200W+, the main system with the single 3090 was still up and running and a reboot resolved...
In an ideal world, there would have been only 4 Ampere cards: 3060 Ti 8 GB for 379, 3070 Ti 16 GB for 579, 3080 12 GB for 799 and 3090 Ti 24 GB (yes ok to charge a premium for an absolute Halo product with a perfect die) for 1499, all launched on Day 1. All should have been FHR, the rest of the...
Lol 34 pages + of academic discussions, TLDR: this is the best PC monitor for 99.99% of users. Coming from someone who has tried 61 displays in the past 11 years.😂
