So I'm not really that familiar with certs in general. Our primary domain SSL was set to expire end of January, but apparently needed to be rekeyed before 1/1/2022 so our SSL showed as being insecure. After getting it rekeyed and fixed, I found out that there are some software demands that are...
So I'm looking to upgrade my Legion 5i gaming laptop's memory but have this question... Which should I get? Is it really going to be THAT big of a difference to get the faster memory but half the capacity?
32GB (2x16GB) @ CAS 18 - $169.99
or
64GB (2x32GB) @ CAS 22 - $199.99
Both are DDR4-3200...
Despite mine getting repaired, it's broken again. Most of the speaker connections don't work now. For being such a great brand and set, they sure are cheap.
Got an email this morning saying the EVGA RTX 3060 XC was in stock at EVGA. Bought it for $444.34. Should be here Friday I think. Not the card I was hoping for, but it'll work for my wife.
Sad to see LG go. I had the LG G3, LG G4 and the LG V10 before moving to the Pixel series.
LG always had some great features per generation but they'd never stick with anything. Those great features would then be gone in the next series, thus alienating their userbase that enjoyed the...
Has anyone else been seeing a "jolting" or random frame drop while gaming?
I'll be playing, and probably every few seconds my frame rates drop enough to give a jolt or stutter type of issue with the game play. It almost makes me feel sea sick. I uninstalled the drivers, and rolled back 2...
I have a k10 in my server using a cooler from eBay. It does transcoding for Plex for multiple users at once. Plus it can transcode 4k.
It does draw more power, but from what I can tell, it does beat out the GTX 1650 in most things.
But I'm no pro.
I've got dual 1080 Ti @ 3440x1440 - 120hz GSync. I really want to go back down to 1 card and thought 2080 Ti might be able to do that for me, but it's looking like 3080 Ti will have to be the goal.
Yeah. Every device gets messed up then. But either way. I'm just curious because I don't see places that actually need the WAN IP addresses for these configurations.
Meraki has cloud access to the devices, so I can configure and change settings without traveling which is nice.
However, it doesn't look like there's any set IP's or URLs in the site to site settings.
So I've got a Meraki firewall at HQ as well as the other offices. We're set up for tunneling with a hub and spoke method on the Meraki's.
HQ is getting upgraded to 1GB fiber through another company which means an IP address change. When the new line is connected, is that automatically updated...
I'm looking to set up a faiilover / load balancing VPN setup for my company here soon and instead of directing employees to our WAN IP addresses, I'd rather set up an A record for vpn.domainname.com to aim to our dual ISP WAN firewall?
What's a good service to go through for the DNS side of...
We've got Dell Servers. I've used osTicket in the past and it wasn't bad. Might have to see what they've updated to.
And trust me, I keep thinking that maybe this will hit an iceberg, however I've been in and out of jobs for years, I was really hoping to make a thing of this, and the IT team...
So I hate to say it, but my company is putting a freeze on spending for the rest of the year. We've had a 3rd party support contract which is ending in Nov. and thus our ticketing, system management/MDM, Antivirus, and remote support is going with it.
The company IS paying for new Antivirus in...
I am in a position to fix things thankfully. Which is why I'm doing a lot of research on the subject and came here as well. Just trying to get the most information regarding this. My opinion and what I want to try to convey is while the cloud is great, I think at this time it's just a poor...
So my company has a strong advocate for moving ALL operations to the cloud. I'm not a fan of the idea (at this time) as I feel that it would be extremely expensive and a poor decision until the company is more streamlined and operating smoothly in IT.
5 physical servers (file server, backup...
I have the previous generation of this TV and it's been great. I'm waiting for at least 75-80" to come down in price or OLED maybe before I upgrade again.
I'm not saying I WANT to keep these the way they are as a permanent solution, I'm just saying for now I would rather. Just because I don't have time to deal with updating the names/paths. My plan is to initialize some new storage machines, build out some proper structure/policies for people to...
I've been messing around with XYplorer, and it can't seem to copy those files with the long names using it. I'll have to stick with manually trying to fix all of the names by removing useless naming from directories.
So the company I'm at has had poor management of their data storage structure. There are directories upon directories upon directories and long file character names that are reaching the Windows character limit. This is causing problems with permissions being changed (another story), as well as...
So I'm reaching out because the company I work for has two JetStor 824JD units that have been decommissioned since November, following a virus/malware attack. A contract company supposedly wiped all data and OS.
Does anyone have any insight on documentation or information for re initializing...
I never get any of these walmart deals that involve brickseek. Would have jumped on one of these. The nearest one has 3 supposedly but every time I've gone to a walmart when they have "3" they have 0.
