I wont deal with any business if they ask for friends and family payment, you also waive buyer protection by doing so. They may be just trying to avoid fees but it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth asking me to pay in a way that provides me no protection. My 2cents. I kind of agree with this move.
Gonna have to start putting in something like a meanwell supply for the video card and your atx supply for the rest. As graphical power requirements keep increasing there is going to have to be a next level of design or requirements. Gaming pc in about 15-20 years will need a dedicated 240v...
Honestly, barrel plugs are one that should have been phased out from users experience. Too difficult for many people to read the voltage and current ratings on the device and the supply (if they get separated from eachother) and not all center pins are positive polarity, have to check that too...
Gonna be quite a few years first. Will take sometime before it goes into effect and then for it to filter its way through the market until everyone is only using a usb-c based phone. So until then you might want to just keep a cable in your car.
Thanks, yea i was really sad not finding an equivalent to my 10 port usb-a chargers but i suppose at the wattage requirements per port for C it does make sense, i do like that one though thanks
So I was having trouble finding the actual regulation (also didnt spend too much time) but I am wondering if companies can just toss in a small adapter to comply with this.
So my apple wireless chargers all came with usb-c cables so actually had to buy new chargers to accommodate apple because...
no, apple and samsung stopped including chargers, not sure who else may or may not have. So I believe the argument is if you have an apple product and say a samsung one then you have to buy two different chargers and depending which phone you get next, then one of those chargers ends up in a...
Fair point.
Yea lightning is a bit long in the tooth now at this time. Although proprietary, at the time (i wanna say 2013?) it was pretty far ahead of micro-usb. And I know we do all like to go after apple but it really is just down to a small number of connectors. Id rather micro-usb be...
Yea, they started the path a bit ago. They formed a commission to find what chargers were being sold and this was used to help push the law forward.
"Half the chargers sold with mobile phones in 2018 had a USB micro-B connector, while 29% had a USB-C connector and 21% a Lightning connector...
EU doing EU stuff again. Not sure how this improves what they say. Either there is ewaste or cable clutter, not both.
This will get in the way with the next standard or an improved usb-c later on. IMO this does more harm than good.
I have both iphone and android at the house, not much for...
ive used asus, abit, gigabyte, supermicro, msi in the past. I tend to see what is out there when I am building a pc and grab a few to compare and pick one based on features and "trustworthy" reviews/experiences.
No prob, glad you found your issue. It is a pain taking it all apart and going piece by piece but often becomes the best way to work through it. Also thanks for putting up your process, helps when someone else stumbles across it to get ideas from.
I would use the washers that pendragon suggested, i like nylon but that will likely need longer screws. The painted screws will chew through that coating after enough vibration.
Actually that screw hole in the bottom left of your photo, those traces look dangerously too close to where a screw...
Check the mounting screws. If the screws that mount the motherboard are slightly too large at the head or even the standoff it is possible that over time they have worn through the soldermask of the board and contacted copper. There shouldnt be anything near those other than ground fill but who...
Have burners in my gaming pc and my wifes both different cases. Never use them though. I do see plenty with 5.25 bays though so doesnt seem too uncommon from my perspective.
I would imagine it is very much driven by the chip manufacturers. There is no desire to move less dense cheaper parts. Plus the laptop market likes smaller drives as well. Run into it often with microcontrollers especially now. Older cheaper stuff gets pushed aside for newer more expensive...
Lots of threads on headphones/headsets in the computer audio thread if you want to look there while waiting for responses here
https://hardforum.com/forums/computer-audio.33/
Modmic is also an alternative where you can add a mic to any pair of headphones. i did this to my dt-880s and has...
I get what you are saying but you are also not far from what I said. Project management isn't handled by the devs, i dont fault that team one bit to be honest. It is the project management team which sets deadlines, feature-creeps, direction changes. Usually the project managers directly or...
Just do what is suggested. Get a prebuilt pc with a service plan through an OEM.
edited: had coffee now.
What you need to do is stop messing with it so much. You are looking for problems which probably is something you need to learnt to deal with. Coming here and asking the same questions...
You were already answered here, i dunno, ask the kid that answered you with that on those forums.
What are you actually trying to do? Last post you were gaming and complaining about stuttering.
COD. with 3 studios working on the same franchise to churn them out quickly, easy winner. But yea, sports games were the next thing that popped in my head.
edit: gonna just quietly say Mario and walk away

It wasn't the same though. That is why playing a game and capturing a single data point is not a benchmark. There are a lot of other factors at play even in the same scene in a game. Benchmarks are scripted to be a control (hehe) in a test so that it can be repeated to view changes.
You would...
Turn it off immediately! I would then let it sit powered down for about a week and monitor sound to see if it occurs while off for that duration. That should help narrow down the cause.
Yes please provide more info on what you are wanting to do. A metal 3d printer you are looking at prices north of $50K. If you are wanting to print in plastic filament with metal particles to then send out to be sintered, you are looking a 3d printer probably around $1000ish. And most parts will...
The pebble speakers do sound decent for what they are. I have a set on my workshop pc, wife uses them on her gaming pc (she isnt as sound picky as me). But they are a major step up from built in monitor speakers for sure.
Yea it is some level of mismanagement of the project. You certainly aren't going to get the board or investors to okay a delay because "we want to make it better". Only way they would allow it is "it isn't able to be released yet".
But agree with ya, delays are never a good sign.
