Hey everyone. I have a hp dv9500t laptop that came with vista home premium. however, I don't really like vista and want to use xp pro instead. Has anyone ever installed xp pro over vista on this specific laptop? Should there be any driver/bios/chipset issues? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I guess my question is "are all video cards with dvi output compatible with monitors with only DVI-D input?" Such as DVI-I etc.

Hello everyone, I was wondering about the DVI outputs from video cards and DVI inputs on monitors. If a monitor has a DVI-D input, does the video card have to have a DVI-D output in order for everything to be compatible. BTW, I am looking at the Samsung 226BW and Dell 2407. Thanks for any help.

I'm in the same boat as Mtt83. I tried quitting WoW once but found myself playing again in 3 months. I've quit the game for about 6 months now and am not really sure about which games to start playing. I enjoy FPS but also enjoyed how relaxing and exciting WoW was. If only WoW was free..:(

Hey everyone, I was just wondering what the regular temperature for a macbook should be. I use the istat pro widget and it shows that my CPU A temp is always around 53 - 58 degrees celsius. Is this normal is way too high? Please let me know. Thanks

Never mind. I found out what the problem was. In Audio Midi Setup, You have to select "Built-in Output" in the Drop menu next to "Properties For:". Thanks for the help though :) Appreciate it!

Yes. iTunes and movies I have sound. But so far it's only games that have no sound whatsoever. When I go into Audio Midi Setup, it says that Output is not supported.

You can't install anything less than SP2 due to a lack of hardware support. If you have an XP Pro (Pre-SP2) CD, you can slipstream the service pack into it, which should work fine. how do i slipstream it in?

I just recently decided to try out bootcamp. However, I read the instructions and it told me not to install xp pro and THEN upgrade to sp2. rather, have a full install of xp pro sp2. Has anybody tried installing xp pro on bootcamp first and then upgrading to sp2? please let me know. thanks

I too was looking at the dv9000t, the dv2000t, and the dv6000t. My first choice would be the 2000t in terms of portability and performance, then the 6000t, followed by the 9000t as a powerhouse.
