TIL, Apex Legends was built using Source Engine.
Wow, I think the game looks and runs great, at least for me on at 1080p on a GTX 970. I'm really really surprised that it's Source Engine. Am I just clueless? Have the Titanfall games been Source Engine also?
I'm out of the loop. I thought LTT also lambasted Nvidia's NDA....maybe I'm wrong. Sad to see he's now their pawn, whipping boy, danger noodle....whatever you want to call it.
Exactly what I was wondering. If the Pixel 3 really did that, I find that incredibly impressive. I'm off to see my iPhone X can accomplish the same feat.
Update: Nope
Not on a 980ti, but a 970. I for one will continue to sit on this for another year (or 2?). I really want to see if AMD can answer; otherwise I'll wait for 7nm. Yeah, I can't have all the eye candy turned on anymore. Oh well...beats dropping a mortgage payment on a video card.
I bought this game last week. I can't get enough of it. I actually called in sick to work on Monday to stay home and play. I remember having really intense experiences with the original DayZ mod, but they seemed so few and far between. This game is non-stop intensity.
I love it, but I am...
I'm so glad that you keep hammering this home, Kyle. It boggles my mind how other supposedly "independent" tech blogs/journos are straight up ignoring this. Those nvidia roots must be deep.
I, too, have an nvidia card in my box (GTX 970), but I'm ready to make the jump to a full AMD rig next...
Still rocking one in my main rig. Been itching to upgrade FOREVER! Perhaps this will finally push me over the edge..........right when GPU and RAM prices are astronomical...
That is so fucked up. They are literally putting these people in danger and turning their lives upside down in doing this. Hope these asshats are caught quickly.
I did print my confirmation. Emailed them 7 days ago with my information, got the canned response 2 days later. Followed up the same day stating that this was not satisfactory and that I wanted an update on my individual claim. No response. Sent another email again this morning. No response.
As did I. This is the same canned response they've been using for about a month. I replied that this was unacceptable and have requested additional information.
No, it's too late for them to submit a claim. Claims were due last October or November. But yeah, you are part of an elite club that got zero contact in this after submitting a claim
Uber curious to know what they say IF they even bother to respond to you.
Edit: Fired off an email myself. I'm kind of pissed about this. Even though I've been very happy with my 970. I guess I just don't want some lawyer taking my $30!
So you got your letter with a deadline of 6/26. Hmmm...as someone who has yet to receive anything at all and with 6/26 quickly approaching, I'm starting to get concerned. It's a weird feeling to want to have at least received the notice you all got. Not getting anything at all makes me think I'm...
And the game ended up not being really close to what they showed. It was fun....for the first 30 levels and had loads of potential, but after the SP campaign, it fell flat and was/is riddled with hackers & aimbot clones.
Looks awesome, but I just don't see a big enough performance difference over the Arctic Cooler Liquid Freezer 240 to warrant the incredible price difference.
I think the fact that they went 2560x1080 instead of 1440 is what turns me off. I'm in the market for a new monitor and would love a 34-inch IPS, but it has to have 1440 at a minimum. Sadly, all the current one's on the market appear to be riddled with issues.
Anyone know if the courts granted a preliminary approval? The hearing was supposed to have taken place on August 24th, but I've seen no news on this since July.
Did something happen to this article? I now see the title for the article as "MSI Z170A SLI Plus -Done!"??
And Kyle's closing comments are missing. I also thought this had received a gold award, but that looks to be absent now as well. I navigated to the article from the "Motherboards -...
With a hard cap of $300, looks like you'll be eyeing the GTX 960 from team green or a R9 290 from team red. There are a few 290X's that occasionally get down below your $300 threshold, can't speak to the brand though.
Thought I'd chime in here. I went from the GTX 560ti to a GTX 970. Couldn't be happier. Runs cooler and quieter than my 560ti. Went from 60 fps with all low settings in SoM to getting 80+ fps on Ultra settings. The time was right for me :)
