Techpowerup: MSI Recalls MAG CoreLiquid 360R And 240R Coolers Hit by a Blockage Flaw

Out of all the AIO junk, NZXT seem to be the most decent ones. They are also made by Asetek I think, but seem to be better quality than others.

Do you use m.2 heatsinks supplied with motherboards?

It depends on the size, a 2TB runs a lot hotter than a 500gb.

Do you use m.2 heatsinks supplied with motherboards?

If my memory serves me right, I put a different heatsink on it, a bit more substantial than the stock one.

Differences between Creative Sound Blaster AE-9PE and Creative Sound Blaster AE-9???

Yes, the AE-9 is the flagship card, much like the ZxR before it and Titanium HD prior to the ZxR. Don't listen to the haters, its an excellent card, its headphone dac/amp is at least as excellent as the Schiit combo, and it has options for speakers, inputs and great software with a bunch of...

Differences between Creative Sound Blaster AE-9PE and Creative Sound Blaster AE-9???

With speakers you probably won't have much difference at all. I think the ZxR is limited to 5.1 vs 7.1 on the AE-9, but it does apply to you since you are using stereo speakers. Thats a pretty cool looking setup by the way!

Differences between Creative Sound Blaster AE-9PE and Creative Sound Blaster AE-9???

P.S. I also used to have a Sennheiser GSX1200 headphone amp, and while it had excellent virtual surround effects, it just didn't have enough juice to drive HD650 quite like the AE-9, ZxR, or the Schiit combo.

Differences between Creative Sound Blaster AE-9PE and Creative Sound Blaster AE-9???

Honestly, at their flagship level they are about the same. The AE-9 is more future proof, since they won't be discontinuing the software/drivers for it anytime soon, but ZxR still gets excellent support. Also, the AE-9 is a bit louder if you have high gain headphones, but you'll never crank the...

Differences between Creative Sound Blaster AE-9PE and Creative Sound Blaster AE-9???

Ok, that is absolute nonsense. First of all, a modern top of the line soundcard such as the AE-9 has a separate dac/amp for headphones, and a separate dac for speakers. On the AE9 the headphone dac/amp are inside the desktop ACM module which is linked to the soundcard with a digital cable, so no...

Differences between Creative Sound Blaster AE-9PE and Creative Sound Blaster AE-9???

Absolutely no problems, people who are having issues probably have old Windows installations with a bunch of junk installed. I highly recommend the AE-9, it is excellent.

Anyone using the newer Sound Blaster Command Driver for their Sound Blaster Z Card

Yes, I am using this software. I have Sound Blaster AE-9 on my computer, and Sound Blaster ZXR on my wifes computer. The AE-9 was always using the Command software, and the ZXR only recently upgraded from the old ZXR software to the command. The command software is clearly better, speaker...

New case format for m.2 SSDs

This is really a fail from both case and motherboard manufacturers to stick with the ATX format. Who actually uses all the PCI-E slots on the ATX anymore, and who is going to use all three m.2 slots - you're already sharing bandwidth even with two. ATX parts should work fine in mATX cases. I...

New case format for m.2 SSDs

I don't know how mATX is limiting in any way, you can have mATX boards with full fledged Z chipsets (ie latest z590), two PCI-E x16 and one or two PCI-E x1, as well as four RAM slots, two m.2 slots, etc. So you can have a full fledged enthusiast PC, with SLI GPU, sound card, etc. With ATX all...

New case format for m.2 SSDs

My daughter is visiting, and she brought over her computer for me to replaced her failing 970 Evo. I took some photos of her Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX mid tower compared to my Sliger Cerberus mATX. The Cerberus is seriously awesome, and its unfortunate that mATX standard doesn't get more respect.

Need quiet drives for new DS1821+

I have two DS718+, one running two 4tb WD red, and another running two 10tb WD red. They are pretty loud, but they are installed in the IT rack in the basement, so I don't hear them. If they were installed in my office, it would not be tolerable. They are listed as 5400rpm drives, have no idea...

Do you use m.2 heatsinks supplied with motherboards?

Also, regarding temps. If you use Samsung Magician software, it only shows once temp, usually about 50-60C, but if you use software like Aida 64 that reads more sensors, it shows two temperatures for the Samsung m.2 NVME drives. My 970 Evo Plus usually idles at 50C/70C. I think the 50C is the...

Do you use m.2 heatsinks supplied with motherboards?

Ok, so the reason I asked this is because my daughters SSD has failed after two years. It wasn't snobbery, during the times of analog VGA input Matrox card provided much crisper images compared to other vendors. They were also one of the pioneers of 3d acceleration for CAD. New case format for m.2 SSDs

Do not like it. The top of the case is useless for anything but one 120mm 15mm thick fan (25mm wont fit), so if you're going to go with water cooling, its best to put radiator on the bottom blowing out. If you're on air, putting fans on the bottom is not a good idea because they are going to a)...
