    4790 vs 4770K/4790K

Purchased the i7-4790 (Non-K) - the cheapest one. Instantly overclocked it to ~4.2 GHz! Max Prime95 temps (small FFTs) - 65C! I am happy with the purchase! The pic:

    4790 vs 4770K/4790K

Hi all! I decided to upgrade to Haswell/Z97 platform. I just sold my 3770K/Z77 - feel myself obsolete and too old-fashioned + disliked USB 3.0 performance and lack of SATA3 ports of Z77 chipset. Also, I have a great 32 GB DDR3 kit which I'd like to keep - and do not hop to DDR4 for a few...

How do I change the minimum fan speed on my GTX 780 Ti?

Nope. Minimum is 39% (1400rpm), max speed is about 3600rpm. And most likely the fan is PWM - it connected via mini 4-pin cable. The actual fan model is Everflow T129215SU.

How do I change the minimum fan speed on my GTX 780 Ti?

I have the same problem here with my ASUS GTX 760 Mini. The minimum fan speed by default is 39% which is about 1400rpm. At idle it is way too loud compared to the rest of my system (Noctua fans, SeaSonic Platinum PSU) I've tried all the stuff found on the web. Flashed many times with modified...

So torn for SFF build on case....

Well, Noctua NH-C14 will fit, but will block PCIe slot, NH-C12P will fit with low profile memory sticks only, etc. (P8Z77-I) Corsair H60/H80 is okay, but, H80 will bend that plastic top fan mount, after some period if time. Take into account that GPU will block left side completely, front side...

So torn for SFF build on case....

I've used SG07 AND SG08 for quite a long time, but recently switched to Prodigy. The main difference in cooling abilities. If you plan to install a high end video card and play games, never get SG08! With SG08 you will have a hard times to install a proper CPU cooler to fit, a proper video card...

Installed ASUS GTX670 DirectCuII OC! Very impressed with this thing! And the new 3DMark11 result is P10055 or higher! Unfortunately, the GPU completely blocked one side of the motherboard, the most free for air side, and temperatures got greatly raised - so I was forced to clock the CPU down to...

    1866 vs 1600mhz

Recently purchased G.Skill Ripjaws 9-9-9-24 1600 MHz 1.5v - two 8 GB sticks. Surprisingly to me, I have managed to easily OC that kit to 1800+ MHz keeping timings and voltage just the same! Previously I had Corsait Dominator Platinum 9-10-9-27 1866 MHz 1.5v (replaced it due to a new CPU heatsink...

    Asus P8Z77-I Deluxe, SG08 Build

Replaced the NH-C14 to NH-C12P SE14 (the fan stayed the same - Thermalright TY-143). Very strange, but temps are dropped by at least 12C! I'm 100% sure previous NH-C14 was installed 100% correctly! Now I reached 4.9 GHz with my 3770K! Yeah, temps with Prime95 are high - ~94C, but I don't care!

BTW, new chipset strikes. I've tested same CPU with Z68,H67 and Z77,H77. With new chipsets I've managed a higher stable IGP overclock and even with slow 1,333 MHz memory achieved results way much better than with Z68 and 2,133 MHz memory.

    2700K vs 3700K IGP

My PC sits in living room - the smaller the better, especially if the performance is not really compromized. Current performance results is a living proof of words above. So, actually it's all-in-one box - for movies, music, gaming (NES, NEOGEO, classic games) and programming. I think ITX is the...

    2700K vs 3700K IGP

For a long time I was with Gainward GTX570 GoldenSample, and later with Sapphire Radeon HD6970. Both cards were like toasters, even with no gaming at all. Extra noise, extra heat - I even removed chassis' top cover for better ventilation. Yes, these cards, especially Radeon, produce lots of heat...

    2700K vs 3700K IGP

Now I see clearly no reason to get 3770K. Checking out some low-end discrete graphics cards - and I'm really curious about upcoming GTX660. Radeon HD 7750 looks great as well. So anyways, check out some pictures of my rig, and see why I so concerned about to leave PCI slot empty. In...

    2700K vs 3700K IGP

    2700K vs 3700K IGP

The reason not to use descrete GPU is to save some space. I use SUGO SG08 - ITX case, and with no GPU I have better cooling. Notable better. And since I need no major GPU power, IGP looks quite adequate.
