    Home theater 5.1 setup... Schumaker?

Give them a listen. If they sound good to you and the price is right I say get them. There are lots of non name brand speakers made only for Asia and lots of times they are "other" brand name speakers with just a logo change. The sound is the most important part anyways.

Nice job.....but I wouldn't put that much effort into a "Bedroom" theater. I would definately have to use that cash in a dedicated home theater.

Seagate Backup Plus 4TB troubles :(

My friend has one that does the same thing. Funny part is he can copy any amount of files when it is plugged into USB 2.0 slots. Absolutely no problems (besides being slow) with USB 2.0 slots.

So I picked up a Norco-4220 a while back and did a trade for a Norco-4224. It's bare so I am wondering what to use inside to get it up and running. Here is what I am thinking about doing because it will cost me nothing as I have these parts on hand. Use my existing Biostar A85W...

So I recieved a Mediasonic RAID box instead of JBOD box

Thanks for the response. Talked a co-worker into thinking he "Needed" it and sold it to him. Not going to order another one as I have a Norco 4020 I picked up for a steal and will try to migrate all my drives to that.

Best HTPC for parents who never had a computer...?

Only drawback is I use the Wide Banners for all my TV Shows on that main screen and Moms likes the look of the Posters in Library mode. I will have to get the posters for all those shows and replace the wide banners so she can have it the way she wants. Anything for my Mom.

Best HTPC for parents who never had a computer...?

Streaming is just more headache. All shows and movies will be contained in one device so no streaming needed. This is why I am looking at the MC001-XBMC device.

Best HTPC for parents who never had a computer...?

They will use it strictly to watch movies and TV shows. No hulu or any other apps. That's why I am looking at this MC001-XBMC device and leaning towards the one with the Blu-Ray player built in. It seems simple enough and it is controlled via remote so it "should" be just what I want.

Best HTPC for parents who never had a computer...?

I have over 32TB of movies, tv shows, random stuff but my parents aren't going to want to see all of that. 1TB on this device will have more than they will care to watch. plus if they want something else I can drop by and load them up.

I essentially want something pre-built (I can just go buy it ready) that will boot directly into XBMC and be controlled via Remote Control.

Best HTPC for parents who never had a computer...?

OK I see my request was kind of vague. My parents know how to work a computer and have used them before but they have never had a home computer so a typical HTPC set-up won't really work. Windows is crap enough without them having issues with booting and other various things. Here is what was...
