I just picked this up from the Microcenter in PA. The deal is not listed in the ad. But it is in the system. Best to call first. But I got the i5 4690k for $199 and the motherboard was 10$ with a $10 MIR. Sick deal, I was about to buy the asus z97 AR for $105 with the CPU. I saved almost $100...
Love XFX cards, I still use an XFX card and xfx motherboard in my media center box!
edit: Can't believe I've been on this forum for over 7 years, dayum!
Haha I had some of the original DeathStars back in the day. I haven't used Seagate in awhile, I've been doing well with Hitachi drives over the past few years now.
I don't see the big deal here, most AIB don't even sell in Best Buy. I've only seen them sell Galaxy and PNY cards there and BFG. Now that BFG is gone, Nvidia branded cards will pick up the slack.
People acting like this is some huge slap to the face of the AIB partners are blowing it way out...
I totally agree with you, I was responding to a post to a guy who somehow claimed this was a free speech issue as if this was some huge government censorship (which it isn't at all. The teacher can say anything they want, but they will get fired for it if the school has a policy on these things...
I don't see the big deal, just stupid comment to a primarily gaming magazine to primarly console players. Isn't it his job to praise consoles? So I guess this kinda comment from him is expected.
Well on my nvidia 780i LGA775 board there is ram dividers as well. But you can also unlink your ram speed from your FSB and set them at independent speeds. Ram dividers can also help you overclock. Unlinking is just another tool to overclock with if you can't find the right divider.'
As to what...
What you have said only applies if you have the ram LINKED. You do know you can unlink the ram speed from the FSB right? So he could set the ram at 400 but have his FSB at 500 if he wanted to.
As to the OP's question, I've ran RAM unlinked for years and never noticed a problem. Of course...
I am pretty sure it is the 8800gt. I had one fail recently, it was in an older PC and didn't get a lot of gaming use. Also had corruption on the monitor. It seems a lot of them have been failing in the past 6 months.
I had lighting hit my house about a year ago and it killed 2 TVs, and all of our cordless phones. Luckily my big screen, PC and all my gaming consoles and stuff were fine. The 2 TVs were older tube tvs.
LOL @ all the ppl who said it was an April Fools..turns out you were wrong. I updated as you are basically forced to. No more chatting with friends, no more downloading anything etc etc.
Obama Derangement Syndrome from some of you...LOL. Do these people think that law enforcement just started using the internet to aid in investigations? If you think that, you are way behind in the times.
