In regards to the OP, I would be in the camp of really not caring, and also sad at the same time.
I can fully admit I view Nintendo with rose-tinted glasses. In my opinion, they aren't what I grew up with (SNES) any longer, and haven't been past the GameCube. I don't care for a lot of...
I just had to quote this because 110% agree. Those things were absolute monsters, and the new 77## and 75## lines haven't held a candle to them since. Especially since the removal of the e-port! Dear God the TB and WD gen docks of the last 4+ years just plain suck on top of it, our engineers...
I still have quite a few of my old boxes stashed away in my closet (hl2 orange box, diablo 2 + LOD, etc) and now that you mention it, I kind of would like to display them alongside my current retro collection.
My cousin passed away almost a year ago, and my aunt actually kept all the original...
I'd second this LG display, it's the same one I run: (older pic, but there she is)
Owned it right around 1 year or so and it really does check almost all my boxes.
Pro's:
IPS Panel (coming from a Dell S2716DGR, it's a world of difference)
165hz ("OC'd" from the factory control panel on the...
I'll have my 18 year badge here in ~4 months. CS 1.6 is what forced me to download it after quite a long time of 1.4(at least, I was really young) and 1.5.
This was my exact thought when I saw it. We have a BU in our company that was looking to get into ML a few months ago, so I got to do a lot of reading up on the matter, and my first thought was they can't be happy having to use an EPYC into that DGX box.
We settled on a proof of concept build...
Ization5150 I absolutely am. Convinced a co-worker to also get one and he's also loving it.
The only thing I wish it did had was true gsync vs the gsync compatible. There were a few situations in CP2077 where the frames fell below the gsync threshold (around 45-48 fps if I remember right)...
Bummer to hear it gave you issues so quickly. I've beat the crap out of my Cloud II's and they continue to work. I've lost them off my head mowing the lawn so many times (hat + headphones when I do, I forget to duck low enough and clip them), dropped them on concrete, LAN trips, they live in...
Easiest way to tell is plug in multiple monitors and see which one your BIOS/POST displays on. On Quadro's they do number the ports (really hard to tell, the engraving is tiny, but they are there) but I don't recall my 3080 having those ports marked. If they did, Like criccio said, I don't...
I didn't want to post this is the official thread, since it's more of a discussion around the EVGA queue and not screenshots.
To preface this thought, I'm guilty of doing exactly what I'm about to mention below.
I myself have signed up for all 3 variations of the EVGA 3060Ti for my GF's rig...
That they do, each update seems to break it for me (modded and not). I'm only using it to respawn iconic items I thought I didn't need... luckily found out early if you scrap or sell you're SOL... re-added them, and then added them to my stash.
Also, really seeing 0 benefit from this 1.1 patch...
I might as well throw in the towel at this point, I'm months behind. Most likely should just buy something used for the GF's rig, I don't see the 3060Ti happening soon.
I'd have to dig next time I'm at my comp, but if I remember correctly, the HD rework is 3 standalone. exe's (approx 4GB, 4GB and about 500MB each last time I installed it) , you shouldn't need to use NMM for that specific mod.
If you check my screenshot, it's not listed in there.
NMM should...
The HD Reworked mod is amazing. I've ran it on my last 3-4 playthroughs. I honestly can't even remember what vanilla looks like anymore.
But don't stop there! Go nuts with the modding! https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3?tab=popular+%28all+time%29
This is most of them I run (not all get...
I'm glad to hear my tech ability dump will pay off eventually! I was worried, because upgrading seems so minimal when you're lvl 20+. I'm sitting at 18 tech ability and player level ~23. The found gear increases much quicker then dumping into upgrading (and I scour the area for every little...
I decided to go Nomad, sitting at 40 hours right now, ~lvl 23 and street cred lvl ~44.
With this game I've been taking the same approach I have with Witcher 3. I shoot small-ish "circles" around an area of the map and do everything in that area. Go and do a main quest, find myself somewhere...
Cmon guys, can't we all just like the single OP post about calling out the SJW's and their nonsense, knowing full well by now they literally have nothing better to do with their time on God's green Earth then call out the misuse of gender stereotypes in a completely fictional video game? Let's...
I've been trying to snag one for the GF since release day, no dice so far
I might have to start thinking of something else to get her for Christmas if this continues...
Is it really? I read some unfavorable reviews (I should stop doing that...), but man, Decent made me jump so hard... such a GREAT atmospheric horror game. I missed a jump on the boxes in the water level with the invisible beast... I actually dropped my controller I freaked out so hard, lol...
I'm not trying to come off as unsympathetic... I understand the frustration on the buying side, believe me, but I think the frustration around this while scenario many find themselves in is misguided.
Understand the forces behind the scarcity.
Supply and demand... ECON 101. Demand is CLEARLY...
Hey Everyone,
So, like the thread title states, I've got a 7700k sitting at 4.8GHz on a 280mm Corsair H115i, and I'm feeling the itch to upgrade the heart of my rig. Full transparency, I also am looking for a real excuse to dabble with custom sleeved cables because I hate the ones that come...
I've been running my Corsair H115i for I think about 4 years now, with the original fans. No issues to report. Fans are controlled by the CPU0 and 1 fan headers on the mobo, so they ramp up and down based on load. Double check the physical size of these rads too before ordering, and get your...
It's funny you mentioned CV, that is the first time I've heard anyone use mention that outside of work (I don't work server-side really, I'm security and client-side, but I try to gleam what I can).
We're in the process now of moving away from CV, as well as phasing out Deruva on the server...
I'd agree that a monitor post is the way to go. The stand that came with this unit is huge, it would certainly impede on my mouse pad area (XL sized pad) and keyboard position.
Never got either out of the OEM packaging.
If you're looking at a stand, get one with a footprint a hair bigger...
Alright guys, so I finally got her setup and working tonight!
Thanks Woodstocke for the assistance, definitely took 2 pairs of hands to get it mounted to my generic amazon triple monitor mount (running a single config atm). No issues here mounting a 100x100 VESA as many mentioned in reviews...
Crap... I did get them mixed up. Don't drink and Amazon folks :banghead:
Going to cancel and replace my order this AM! Thank you!
EDIT: Payment hadn't gone through, and the order hadn't shipped yet. Easy cancel and got the correct one ordered, same arrival date. Thanks Slickdvl ...
cybereality Thank you so much for your description and pics in your review thread, as well elaborating further in this one. It has really made this choice easier for me, I appreciate it man!
Due to having to get back into graphic design duties here much sooner then I expected (my current TN...
Slickdvl I'm currently struggling between those exact 2 monitors right now as well.
Looking to upgrade from my Dell S2716DG, and right now I'm heavily leaning towards the LG-34GN850-B.
I don't want to regress in terms of Hz (144hz on the Dell to the 120Hz on the Alienware), want to move up...
I think we'll know a bit more once 3090 benchmarks are out, in terms of the actual performance differences between the two, but I think we'll see this unannounced card be closer to the 3090 in performance, but maybe 8-10 months later. Given the price points, it sure looks to me like they're...
I'm going to be holding out for the yet-to-be-announced 3080Ti. Given the HUGE price gap between the 3080 and the 3090, I'm really skeptical that something won't be released at that ~$1k price point at a later date.
I need to target my mobo/cpu combo first. I'm gaming at 1440p/144hz, my...
Between taking the time to setup NIS notification(s) (they can be model number specific with AIB's sometimes), f5'ing on Newegg and browsing r/nvidia (sorted by new, looking for currently in stock posts, again f5'ing a lot), and having my account setup (with CC/Debit already on file) on the...
