Yes, because raising prices to objectively wrong levels is sure to curb demand.......................
this comment aged like an open can of sardines :(
Definitely, you could sell the 1080Ti and buy a 1050ti and still have enough power to play some regular games too. Nintendo and playstation seem to have really stable emulators. I use PCSX/PCSX2 for playstation, and Dolphin/Project64 for nintendo.
Very true, though if push came to shove I have successfully modified the drivers in the past to work with windows 10 and we had no issues at all. though that might have been for a 3rd gen CPU, I forget.
Do you have buddies that come over to game? Maybe keep the machine setup as a...
*ACKSHUALLY*
You used to be able to right click the networking icon in the system tray, and easily access network and sharing center (In versions before W10), M$ removed that feature from 10 and now you would either need to go through the control panel, or the new network settings application...
What are your use cases? Is this just for home/personal stuff? How many VMs total are you planning on running? How important is performance vs cost for you? Why does your server need a GPU?
Depending on the answers to the above questions, you could save a couple grand and go with an LGA2011...
Yes the board was ran outside the case, ive since been able to get the DOA board returned, and found a nice replacement for it (I still have the original one that I broke)
Everything is running great now that I didnt try to install it like an ogre :p
Cool, so this is only available through the cockstar launcher AND they already removed the original games from steam? Cant wait to not buy this once its released............
Ill be honest and say I think we have different views on new vs used. A car with 40K miles is new to me, I think the lowest mileage car i have ever owned was 120K, and if by "certified pre-owned" you mean you went to a stealership to buy them, thats an additional cost I wont pay either. I only...
Because you can buy another car with a working transmission for less than the $6000 it would have cost for whatever model car you have. Stop buying expensive cars, and you wont have expensive repair bills.
Yes, but....
I had it explained to me once and I can sort of see where she was coming from. Some people dont understand the concept of a "system", where you need to follow a series of "logical" steps in order to achieve a result. This concept isnt limited to just computers either, its why IT...
My point was that driving cars with all the electronic BS just makes it less enjoyable to drive, things like traction control can cut power to the engine when you arent anticipating it and you can wind up in some sketchy situations. You cant electrically limit my throttle to 20% when its a...
Right, but they dont:
"It's when your throttle is physically connected to your foot and not the internet."
Your throttle body is physically connected via cable to your gas pedal, you dont need to calibrate the pedal to know 0% through 100%, and you can prove that youre getting 100% throttle...
Its certainly not the same.
I like that, and agree. I do prefer hydraulic clutch to cables though, I always snap cable clutches (cries in foxbody mustang)
Which part of the country are you from? I got my corolla for $1900, and there seems to be a lot of good cars in the $2000 - $5000 range here in NH. I dont buy trucks though (other people can, and ill use theirs :D), 2016 tacomas seem to go for around 20 - 25K with low miles and good options.
I was just reading this today:
https://www.reuters.com/technology/tsmc-says-construction-has-started-arizona-chip-factory-2021-06-01/
Do people even buy new cars? Seems like a giant waste of money to me.
Honest question, is it weird that i refuse to purchase a car that doesnt have a cable...
Ive got well over a hundred of these things, no screens have cracked yet (I assume apple would just tell me im using them wrong anyway), but all of them have scuffs on the top cover from being carried with a charger on top of it. Even if youre super careful, the rubber they use on the charging...
Yes I see that now, I was looking at the newegg page (the corsair one seems to be broken in waterfox)
In that case, it is indeed a fine warranty period.
I wish I could disagree with this thread, but ive worked in public schools since 2015........
Ive also had the same flip phone since 09, no intention of downgrading to those useless bricks everyone seems to love so much. Its almost like this outcome was easily predictable!
How stable is the power at your house? Would it be possible to bring your monitor/computer/peripherals over to a freinds house and try it there?
Im still thinking about the rest of the stuff you said, but wanted to throw this out there first as its what popped into my head first.
My experience with the M1 mac is different than most, as my use case for them is very different. Without bringing my opinions into this, I will say that the M1 macs do have significantly more issues with printing compared to the older macbooks (which also have significantly more problems than...
Correct, thats exactly what I meant. As warranty seems to work differently here in the USA, I wasnt sure if you had the option to bring it to another store that also handles warranty claims for you.
In the US, we dont have any places like that, every time I make a warranty claim/RMA I do so...
That sucks, unfortunately most of the "front line" repair places are more accustomed to standard break/fix problems, and not more complicated ones like this. If they saw a blown capacitor, maybe they would be able to replace that, but anything more involved and they would typically have to...
Ive been anti-gigabyte for a while, the last board that I considered of theirs was of the LGA775 generation, though I do have a lot of respect for them for being the last to switch over to the god awful modern EFI layout. As I recall they were the only manufacturer to offer a true BIOS like...
I have the same issue with my reds, both 6tb and 8tb, once they go to sleep they take a good 5 - 10 seconds to spin back up. I usually forget theyre asleep, go to download somthing (downloads folder on my spinner) and then my entire web browser hangs until the drive gets back to its job. This...
Is this the card OP has?
https://www.newegg.com/asus-geforce-rtx-3080-tuf-rtx3080-10g-gaming/p/N82E16814126453
I didnt see a link in his OP, so I mistakenly assumed "reference design". Either way, even at a $1000 MSRP this is definitely an example of ASUS at their worst, unless every single...
That is literally a slap in the face, im genuinely insulted for you. Shame on ASUS for charging $1100 to "fix" a $700 card, especially since they apparently just sent you a different one anyway, instead of fixing yours.
My experience with ASUS RMA has always been amazing, though I havent dealt...
Yes, you are correct. LGA1366 tops out at 12C/24T @ 3.46ghz, "limited" to DDR3, no NVMe (natively) etc..
I do have a 1950X build that I use for a gaming server, that use case definitely benefits from the much faster single core speed of even a stock clocked 1950X, then when you consider that TR...
I agree with everything, except your comments on pokemon. I would put yellow above blue/red (green in japan), for the same reason I would put crystal above gold/silver, its just the "bigger" version of the other 2 games.
Im on the fence about San Andreas being put above Vice City, San An...
Halo is a trilogy, dont even install anything other than 1-3.......
I second Dead Island Riptide, its much better than the original (more guns). Brink is super fun as long as youre more interested in shooting than the story.
Depending on when you last looked into cases, manufacturers have recently come to the conclusion that airflow is a thing that exists, and theyre actively looking into ways to prevent the inside of your PC from catching fire. Examples like using mesh panels and allowing for air to enter/exit the...
Thats great, glad you got it figured out! I have definitely broken boards by having standoffs in the wrong spot, even having different height standoffs might cause issues. That ASUS board was the one I was referring to, but once you get your board back from RMA you should be 100% fine.
Nice...
