Dont have a GPU to stress the system. maby mid next week ill manage to do a furmark on a 1070 with ryzen 3700x. but i really cant se anny scenario where sf600 could be heard over the other components under such load. what components are upu running?
Been looking at several MI-6 builds, and it reealy can do with onboard storage only. no sata cables. no 2,5" drives, would be alot cleaner. need mobo's with 2 or more ports :)
- Can it do a 9 cm bottom fan normal size, not slim?
- Custom cables? is it necessary? anyone has measures of optimal...
Well, where to begin :) According to the manual the 450w is passive up to 180w, and the 600w is supposed to be passive up to 240w. I thought no way when i read this.
so i scraped together a system, of i5-2320, gtx770 and 3,5 inch drive. did some runs with f@h as i ran 3dmark 2006 1080P with max...
Anny thougts or experiece with the new 92mm fan? From what i understan it spinns up easily? Hoping for passive uner 100w
I orded a 600w im gonna test the fan and the passive mode. According to corsair the 750w is passive from 300w and down. Might be the CU heatsink? No such info on the 600w
Mine made so many strange sounds, hard to explain. even with the fan not spinning. had no hopes for improvement when replacing fan with a Noctua but it solved all issues. seems that the fan engine was messed up
Sorry late reply :) not coil whine, load is arround 300W. since PSU is only new component i figure thats the sourse. anyhow, its been @ full load now for 10 days sound is gone and the psu is just perfrect. maby it just needed some "run in" like amp's and speakers who knows, but i like it :D
Got mine a week ago, fan is amazing. but the psu in general makes som strange noice, some sqeeking @ full loag CPU/GPU. not constant, comes and goes at ramdom. noice is not loud. but its there.
Mine is mounted fan up in an open case for now.
In my experience a few cm PSU depth has never been a problem, like cabels and cooler hight restrictions :) but several good tips here.It seem smart just to wait a little to see what people say about the Corair and the Silverstone platinium.
Now my 450w is modded with a 8cm Noctua. would...
Searcing for the ultimate SFX psu :D
My old silverstone 450w has seen its glory days. time to Upgrade. In my experience the 3 Silverstone ive had are all stable so I like them. Mostly fan noice that usually bothers me. Anni ideas what to pick?
I have waited for Broadwell and Skylake before I invest in a NUC. But I find it a little immature and a little to cheap. Just make a few moddels with a better case and impoved cooling. Im a little paranoid whin it comes to fans :)
But, anny thoughts about M.2 vs SSD now that u have them side...
Remember that I cut 2 of those thick at stiff usb cables. never needed any more than 2 int the front.
Love this case, been waiting to upgrade until I have some thing new to put in. using one of the first AMD apu's that came.
Need to post lots of benchmarks , temps and how it sounds during...
Its hard to say, it all depends on how much power the APU really uses during gaming :)
but when we where modding the ISK 300 we changed the powerbrick. its in a tread in this forum somewhere. it was my tread if i remeber.
The pico PSU comes with an internal part. might be need for some modding to make it fit? But I would first have tried the stock PSU it might just work if u skip running Furmak and Prime95 . U can also go on Ebay, they probably have a 19V 120W brick that u just replace the original with. ( Im on...
Most sites reviewing the Titan has a CPU with a high powerconsuming overclock. when I had the GTX 580 with intel 2500K @ stock speeds and a little undervolting I managed to pull "only" 318W from the wall.
Its also important to see the difference between real and artificial power draw...
It's the standard Nvidia size. 26,9cm. meaning its the same as the gtx 580,570,560. and same with the 4xx series. if i remeber correct :)
I ran the gtx 580 for a year with no issues its the sama card when it coas to physical parameters. just need 1000USD :)
Todays fun info is that the new and awesome (and expensive) Geforce GTX Titan probably fits like a glove with some modding and has not to high TDP :)
its more or less the same card as the gtx 580 when it come to TDP and size
I'm now sitting with my ISK 110, I used an AMD FM1 midrange chip, and i have to say its WAY hotter than any Intel chips. I spent some time tweaking and undervolting and no its more or less ok
If You want to keep all components inside the case Ive would pic Intel, but if you are planning some...
Its alwas smart to wait for the second series after a die shrink. 8xxx series will be much more efficient than 7xxx, cheaper better less power. Rumors hints that HD8870 will outpreform the gtx 680 @ half the price. just have to wait and see.
And even if with a 25mm fan its still under 5cm :)
It seems to be tjust about the same as Thermaltake slim X3, that one is a solid preformer. cheap and silent :)
Didnt know there still was 775 mobos out there :)
Im not shure if that q45 chipsett can do 1080P ?
regarding the chipsett cooler i think you can just cut it, the scythe fan will cool it properly. or you can get one of the zalman coolers...
Ive seen this case in stores in Norway, but I cant figure what case it is? just probably a Packard Bell only case?? seems to be room for dualslot graphics, sidemounted sfx psu, and rom to put a corasair watercooler on top. I think this one got great potential :)
annyone got this case? (not to...
