For the life of me I cannot find a USB 3.0 hub that both charges and syncs data across all the ports.
I see either:
Data Ports (1A Power)
Power Ports (2A Power)
These are split either 4/1 or 4/3/1 or some bizarre arrangement.
I have an Iphone 6s+, Ipad Air, and multiple USB devices but I...
Looking at getting some used 24bay storage systems that run on Fibre Channel. I believe they support 2/4 and I'd like to push them to 4GBps preferred. Now my experience with fibre channel is limited, I've used it know all about the WWN and the fun/hilarity that ensues with them.
At my job we use a ton of storage. Ridiculous amount scattered all over the place in SAN, NAS, local disk. Year upon year it's been added on piecemeal until we finally realized we are spending more on power and expansion than just doing it "right".
The new paradigm (BINGO!) is to consolidate...
Without getting into too much detail. I have a project that requires 500 3TB 7200 RPM SATA 6gbps hard drives. No Green drives, they won't work and will die faster.
Those of you on here I'm sure have contacts out in the field that could quote me a price for all of them. They do not need to...

Now I read that windows doesn't allow creation of...
Ok, so I ordered a new Dell laptop. It's got a 667mhz FSB yet it comes with DDR2 533mhz RAM.
Now I'm looking to order some more memory and was told that the 533mhz will run it just fine with no issues, but the stuff I run is very CPU intensive (WoW, Video editing, etc). Does it matter if I get...
Ok, I've got the following:
CPU: 2.4G P4 800FSB
RAM:1GB Crucial 400
VGA:radeon 9800pro 256mb
HD: Pair of Samsung 160GB SATA in a raid 1
OS: Windows XP SP2
Now I installed this thing as a RAID1 in the SATA bios that comes with the board. I updated the bios to get it to...
ok got a small form factor (NOT HTPC!!!) pc and it holy takes halfheight PCI cards.
I need to shove a wirless adaptor in there and thought "Hey why not use a PCMCIA adaptor!" so I went out searching and only found drives that were either scsi or ISA that will not work with my setup.
