    Loving this 2600X!

Nice work man! I've been unable to push to 3600 - is that result with 2 or 4 dimms?

    Loving this 2600X!

I actually just double checked and I've got my offset set at -.075v, not -.05v. The only stability issues I was having previously were due to memory - it took me a good couple of weeks to dial in stable tight timings, lots of trial and error and endless memtest runs. And yeah, getting above...

    Loving this 2600X!

You might have to back off the negative offset a little. I'm running -.05v currently (edit: just double checked, I'm actually at -.075v) because I was also getting instability with more negative values. I'm using 2x8GB TridentZ F4-3200C14D, which is one of the better binned b-die kits...

    Loving this 2600X!

Nice work! I'm loving my 2600X as well - I originally purchased it to tide me over until Zen2 drops next year, but it's more than capable of holding it's own. I've got mine close to 8700K MCT levels.

*RARE* BFG nVIDIA GeForce FX 5800 Ultra AGP 8X 128MB DDR

This is so weird. Why are people paying $600-2000 for the biggest piece of shit card nvidia ever made??

    Best speakers for $1000?

Very nice. Is that a Crown power amp? I've lusted after the LS50s for a while, definitely on the short list if a good deal ever comes along. Here's my desktop setup: https://imgur.com/a/zrc7k

    Post your Ryzen memory speeds!

I tried going down to 236 and was getting hard crashes. Haven't tried anything between that and 256 - worth a shot though, I'll try dropping down and seeing if it makes a difference. Formula.350 I am now running a 3200C14 kit, and your assumption was correct regarding the discrepancy in...

    R7 2700/2700x on B350?

I currently have the single fan on the ceiling of my case set up as an intake to get airflow over the VRMs, but what I'm planning to do is ordering this Noctua slim 92mm fan and mounting it with zipties to blow over the VRM sinks. Even a modest amount of airflow directly over the VRMs brings...

    R7 2700/2700x on B350?

Sadly there is a serious lack of good mATX AM4 boards. You've already picked out what is probably the best one, the TUF B350M. The 4+2 phase VRM will just about handle a stock 2700/2700x, but I wouldn't try to run an all core OC like Nightfire mentioned. Maybe even apply a vcore/vsoc...

    Post your Ryzen memory speeds!

I used 1.48vdimm and 1.075vsoc. Can probably come down on vdimm, going to take some further tweaking. Still testing for full stability at the current settings.

    R5 2600X overclocked to 4.32GHz on Strix B350-F

So I ended up picking up some different memory - got a kit of TridentZ 3200C14 (basically slightly better binned b-die). I'm getting good results with the new memory - I'm able to run tighter timings on these at 3200/3400mhz compared to the C15 kit I had before. Goes to show how important dram...

    R5 2600X overclocked to 4.32GHz on Strix B350-F

Build looks sweet! That Meshify is a real nice case - makes my Lian Li look pretty outdated in comparison. Those are great hardware picks all around too - that TridentZ kit should easily be able to push up to 3466C14, and possibly even higher. So with these CPUs there's basically two ways to...

    R5 2600X overclocked to 4.32GHz on Strix B350-F

Some more progress from last night. Pushed up to 3400mhz dram and got it stable at the same timings with 1.48v. I reloaded my previous 4.32ghz OC and got these results:

    Adventures in 2700X Overclocking

Good stuff! I'll try lowering some of the subtimings (there's still quite a bit of room to move down - the ryzen dram calc extreme presets are even lower). Did you have any luck getting yours to 3466? I couldn't get mine stable no matter how much I pushed the voltage up or slackened the...

    Adventures in 2700X Overclocking

^^ Great tips for dialing in timings. It is indeed time consuming, especially on my board which refuses to post with bad timings (requiring a cmos clear every time). These are the timings I've ended up with on my kit (F4-3200C15D-16GTZ, cas15 single rank b-die). I can't seem to push higher...

    R5 2600X overclocked to 4.32GHz on Strix B350-F

My board doesn't have the PB Scalar setting. I played around with mem subtimings more and these are the results I'm getting. It's perfectly stable at 3200 low latency, but I can't seem to push up to 3466 without serious stability issues, even when slackening the timings and pushing vmem up to...

    R5 2600X overclocked to 4.32GHz on Strix B350-F

That's 1435 CB at "stock" with an undervolt, but with precision boost overdrive switched on. The base clock is detected as 3.6ghz, which is the stock frequency of the 2600x, but in reality it is running all cores at 4.1ghz for the benchmark.

    R5 2600X overclocked to 4.32GHz on Strix B350-F

Another interesting development to report. I had been reading that some users on OC.net were getting gains in boosting performance by undervolting. I used the exact same settings as the post above with -.1v offset vcore applied, and saw a small bump, with the base clock now going up to 4.1ghz...

    R5 2600X overclocked to 4.32GHz on Strix B350-F

For those curious, these are my results at stock clocks with PBO enabled. With PBO doing its thing and all threads fully loaded, the base clock sits between 4-4.05ghz. In less demanding workloads (such as gaming), all cores will run between 4.1-4.25ghz. I have also seen single cores boost as...

    R5 2600X overclocked to 4.32GHz on Strix B350-F

I am running 4011. The precision boost overdrive settings are located under Advanced->AMD CBS->NBIO Common Options->Precision Boost Overdrive Configuration. The default settings when you enable PBO should be: 105W (PPT), 95A (TDC), 140A (EDC). My settings are set to manual for increased...

    R5 2600X overclocked to 4.32GHz on Strix B350-F

Guess we found the infamous clock wall. I'm still incredibly pleased with this chip - that multicore score is at 8700k levels, and I only paid $300 for both the chip and the mobo which is still less than the cost of a 8700k alone! Not to mention the long term benefits of adopting the AM4...

    R5 2600X overclocked to 4.32GHz on Strix B350-F

Managed to squeeze out a little more with tweaked subtimings and llc settings. This is as far as I can take it before hitting a massive voltage wall, 4.35ghz wasn't stable even with 1.46v (at which point I tapped out).

    R5 2600X overclocked to 4.32GHz on Strix B350-F

I don't think this board has a VRM temp sensor, unless I'm missing something and haven't seen it yet. I have made sure the VRM sinks have some airflow over them, however, and they stay cool to the touch under full load, 1809SUS

    R5 2600X overclocked to 4.32GHz on Strix B350-F

I just upgraded my rig - went from a 2600k @ 4.6ghz to a 2600X paired with the Asus Strix B350-F and 16GB of G.Skill TridentZ 3200 cl15 bdie. With minimal tweaks I was able to push up to 4.32ghz stable (1.4vcore 1.15vsoc) before hitting a voltage/freq wall. I was easily able to tighten timings...

    New 2.1 desktop setup

    New 2.1 desktop setup

Nice. You got the multibit upgrade for the Gungnir, presumably? Good shout on the crown amp - don't normally see a lot of pro audio gear in audiophile systems. Did you notice a significant difference going from the Emotiva to the Crown (almost double the wattage & class A/B to D)? The Elacs...

    New 2.1 desktop setup

Sweet, what a coincidence! Out of curiosity, what did you upgrade to, and did you see a noticeable improvement? From my own deduction, Emotiva gear seems to hit a sweet spot and provide a lot of bang for the buck, but it isn't considered to be truly boutique/high end. I reckon you have to...

    New 2.1 desktop setup

    New 2.1 desktop setup

Yeah that's a classic example of someone with too much money invested in gear and not enough sense to configure it properly. It's a shame as he could have set up a really nice 2ch rig in that room in front of the short wall. Still, completely ridiculous to see that much firepower in such a...

    New 2.1 desktop setup

You'd be pretty hard pressed to do better for $300 - that's around what I paid for the SB1000. Obviously the SB13 is in a different territory altogether - that would have been a steal at $1k off retail. I think the biggest advantage of a newer sub like that is having sophisticated DSP built in...

    New 2.1 desktop setup

Sorry I totally missed this question - that PSB you have looks like a really nice unit, wasn't that their flagship model back when it came out? The entry level SVS stuff is fairly good. The SB1000 isn't an output monster and would be underpowered in a larger room (unless you ran duals), but it...

    New 2.1 desktop setup

Well I ended up pulling the trigger on a used Sherbourn PA 2-50 (basically an enhanced version of the Emotiva Mini-X - Class A/B 50wpc with input/power sensing and a remote control). Got a great deal on it - should be a very nice upgrade over the SMSL. Also picked up a Klipsch RW-12D for my HT...

    New 2.1 desktop setup

    New 2.1 desktop setup

Finally got around to upgrading my Swan M50Ws with this new rig (pic of previous setup: http://i.imgur.com/mAbp5xo.jpg). The SMSL Q5 Pro is a temporary addition while I save for a nicer integrated amp - that being said, it's a good little performer and a total bargain for $100. Still getting...

MSI 980ti Gaming 6G heatsink upgrade

After waiting for and being disappointed by Vega, I managed to snag this 980ti in perfect used condition locally. This is my first Nvidia card in 10 years - the last was a 8800GTS 320mb. While the stock heatsink was perfectly adequate, I already had a Prolimatech MK-26 on my previous R9 290X...
