was looking for it from an old bookmark since it was basically the only/best sr-2 oc thread, they do show up if you click back through the distributed computing page though which is where I saw the 2nd one https://hardforum.com/forums/distributed-computing.32/page-42
I thought it was originally...
looks like a few other threads in there are toast too but yeah. another example: https://hardforum.com/threads/supermicro-h8qgi-6-and-h8qgl-next-generation-oc-bios.1735335/
I'm sure manufacturers are really smiling now that the general pop knows they can buy undersized PSUs and run them over spec just fine lol.
The GN testing though, it just reminds me of car audio guys hooking up shitty subs to huge amps and blowing them up for memes at comps. I mean it's cool...
I pulled out mine from the corner and it does fall within the serial number range so I shot Newegg an email back, will see what they say if I can get a refund or replacement. Since I'm not using it I'd rather get a refund though.
Got an email from Newegg about it.
To be honest I haven't even looked at it since I got it with my 3090, I guess I should see what the serial number is.To be honest I haven't even looked at it since I got it with my 3090, I guess I should see what the serial number is.
I am guessing applepay did a antifraud chargeback? If that is the case then I'm not surprised unfortunately, pretty much every company will instantly close your account if you do a chargeback no matter what the cause. That's almost why cards are better since they do pending charge holds...
This is the same on my old PA329Q Asus proart monitor's profiles, it was pretty stupid. I mean I can understand some, but brightness??? That thing had bad issues with one half the screen bugging out too so I don't use it anymore.
Corning makes some optical thunderbolt 3 cables which you could use a thunderbolt 3 dock with, amazon makes them seem not super reliable though. Alternatively you could daisy chain some thunderbolt devices and use cheaper cables lol.
20 years or so ago one of the home theater mags did a 3-way blind test for the reviewers and it was pretty interesting. The same guys also hooked up some bookshelf speakers to a 2kw amp or something and caught them on fire as well, ah the "good old days" of hifi mags haha. I kinda miss my B&K...
It will be interesting to see how the driver development for these cards is, if it's like 11th gen series with no graphics drivers for like 2-3 weeks or their vast amount of things they have just abandoned support for like VROC then it won't go anywhere.
I don't really mind that to be honest lol. I like it more than the plastic rgb covered junk we have these days anyway. At the time that was released though I was running a black soyo dragon which was one of the few black boards back then.
I mean not even that, I've ran into someone before where their insecure apple account got hacked by somebody over in asia and had a bunch of that person's pictures show up into their icloud. They were like what the hell pictures are these? The person only did it to download apps they couldn't I...
I think I paid 199 dollars for my original PNY AGP 6800 256 MB at CompUSA back when they came out. It was quite a nice upgrade from my Geforce 3 (original non Ti model) that was $299 when I got it lol. The fan on the GF3 died so I bought a cheapo quadro and did a heatsink swap on it lol.
FF14 always shit itself out with graphics overclocks for whatever reason so I stopped bothering, my GTX 570 I had to actually underclock its factory OC. Only that game too, never had issues with anything else lol.
My office PC I have a 5820k I built on release with some 2667 c14 hyperx 4gb sticks on Asrock X99M Killer. Originally ran a 4ghz simple oc but bumped it up to 4.4 2 years ago or so, got win 8.1 on it but no issues with it at all.
Most people don't actually read things that pop up for sure, we got a few calls at my office asking about this people were like I clicked a box and my pc rebooted and it says upgrading windows. My parents got the popups to upgrade on their computers and I told them to wait and I upgraded them...
