    Thoughts on the TU150?

I could see this being the 'BitFenix Prodigy' of entry 'premium-level' mini-itx PC cases. I am curious how well a Noctua NH-U12A with 2 Noctua 120mm Sterrox fans (1 front, 1 back) does with a 3900X / i9 9900K and 2080 TI setup.

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

Here is a pc build posted on pcpartpicker. Seems like you're going to be limited to 3.7 GHz, maybe 3.8 GHz if you're lucky.

Cheaper version of the Kimera Industries Cerberus?

Good, small mATX cases are pretty much a niche and dead unfortunately. So many mATX cases are so big that they might as well be smaller ATX cases. The sparse high-end mATX mainstream motherboards does not help matters as well.

Cheaper version of the Kimera Industries Cerberus?

It is really hard to find anything mainstream ish that has the dimensions of the Cerberus. Every good mATX Tower case is pretty much >30L and it seems that mITX is gaining more traction than mATX for both PC cases and high-end motherboards. Cooling and aesthetics wise, I still love and have the...

You could try the Silverstone SG10, but its a bit bigger at I believe 23L.

GHOST S1 - When both size & performance matters

Pretty much this. I admit that I can be 'pessimistic', 'overly skeptical', but the lack of updates on even the site and kickstarter page does not instill a lot of confidence on a version1 or gen1 product. Then you have Slack, where the invites expired, and the backers that could not get in get...

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

I am waiting for the SFX-L psu from EVGA, which should be based on the SuperFlower design. The Corsair cable are indeed really stiff and annoying to route, while the Silverstone 450w Gold Modular psu already had trouble running my PC build (see signature) after four years.

GHOST S1 - When both size & performance matters

I would argue that Ncase set the benchmark really high in terms of communication and marketing. From the very start of its creation, there was constant back and forth between not only the creators, but the whole community. It was really amazing to see the first design prototypes compared to the...

GHOST S1 - When both size & performance matters

I did not back this case and actually am thinking of getting this case, while possibly selling my Dan A4 v1 case. That being said, it is worrisome that there are not even simple Weekly or bi-weekly updates to what is being worked on. It just feels like a lot of the design decisions are not...

GHOST S1 - When both size & performance matters

Yeah, cpu market is really competitive. Intel is maybe end of this year, with probably another CoffeeLake refresh if..their 10nm yield slightly less performance due to immature, 1st gen 10nm architecture. I am personally waiting until 2019 anyway since that is when AMD Zen 2 should come out...

GHOST S1 - When both size & performance matters

I would keep the 980 TI as it is still a very solid gpu especially when overclocked. GPU prices are way inflated and unless you are maxing graphics at 1440P and above, 980 TI should be more than enough for a good year or two. Honestly, there have been a lot of stupid rumors circulating and I...

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

How about gaming temps? Looking at the spreadsheet, i7 8700K @4.3 GHz seems like the clockspeed to go for longevity wise, while 4.4 - 4.5 GHz would be kinda pushing it already. I am curious about whether or not the other i7 8700K @4.7GHz (eyedexe) is a nicely binned chip as it is running at...

I think that fan-duct with the Noctua NH-L9i is probably the most cost-effective cpu cooling solution. May have to sacrifice 100-200 mhz on clock-speeds depending on quality of silicon. Also, looking at the Google Sheet, somebody managed to hit 4.7 GHz @1.1V with the i7 8700K (delidded +...

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

Yeah, the clock speeds you can attain with the LP53 is all-core turbo boost speeds for the newer Intel i5/i7 cpus at better temps. At worst, probably will settle 100-200 mhz less with the NH-L9i or CryOrig, which is not a big deal.

I am personally waiting for the EVGA SFX-L line. Kind of wish Silverstone made a SX-550 instead of a SX-500. SF450/600 is still the clear SFX psu performance winner performing very close if not better than most regular sized ATX psus. What really hurts the SF-series are their terrible, stiff...

Seems like there is a big silicon lottery in terms of temps for the new Coffeelake CPUs. Some reviewers had lower temps than Kabylake, others had higher. You can safely assume that on average, it will run a little hotter since it is 6c/12t after all and the cpu cooler is 100w or so TDP limited...

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

4.2 - 4.3GHz Intel and 3.7GHz for AMD seems to be the sweet spot for Dan builds. The Turbo boost overclocks for the i7 8700K is fairly aggressive as it goes up to 1.27V or so. I would not go over 1.18V on a Dan build personally for longevity. i7 8700K is great for Ivy Bridge and Sandybridge...

My Silverstone ST45SF also shut down after just 3.5 years and I had only a GTX 760 and slightly overclocked 4GHz i7 4770k. SF450 should be fine with rx vega 56 (undervolted) or gtx 1080 and below cards as there is little overclocking that can be done on the cpu due to restrictive compatible cpu...

    Noob question: Is a 7700 or 7700K a better "match" for a 1070 GPU in Dan A4?

I just like the 7700K more because higher re-sale value and the fact that the stock, non-turbo clock is already 4.2GHz for all-cores. 4.2 GHz is pretty easy to hit with the Dan A4 case and you can even undervolt a little as well. If you have a custom shroud for the cpu cooler and try the simple...

Been a fan of the EVGA and MSI fans on their gpus. I would rather Dondan take his time to fully test out and make the best possible <= 48mm height cpu cooler. If a decent number of people buy it, it will get other companies like Noctua interested to mass producing a similar design.
