Everything runs fine until you leave your PC for a few minutes and the screen powers down (depending on your power saving settings)
When you move the mouse or keyboard to wake the screen up, it's flashing and shaking with lines all over it.
All driver versions after 344.16 seem to be affected by...
So I bought a Kingston 240GB M.2 ssd to replace my aging Samsung 830, unfortunately I can't get it recognised in the BIOS.
It absolutely ignores the M.2 socket, I have set all the bios settings to be correct (including the M.2 mode)
I even removed a video card to see if that would help (PCI...
You would be able to copy your existing installation to an image file, then create the raid array and then copy it back.
Creating the array will wipe your disks though, so there will be some manual labour involved.
In windows 8.1 (backup / System Image Backup) create an image onto an...
I picked up the z87 PRO yesterday and installed it this morning, I noticed my old Z77 sabertooth had one pin missing (bottom right) but this new board also has the top left pin missing.
Is this normal?
EDIT:- Nevermind i'm a dunce who shouldn't be allowed near a computer, I was looking at it...
However much I read, I still can't see any discernable difference between the Z87 deluxe and Pro except the extra LAN port.
What am I missing?
Edit:- Nevermind, the boards are now listed properly on Asus site, so the comparisons work.
Not €70 worth of difference though IMO.
Don't get me wrong the 3 titan rig is amazing, but connected to one (22"?) monitor? Piss money away much? Hey you might be loaded but wow, just wow.
Ok it's a 30" but anyway my point still stands.
Just going with the flow, miserable times to be had with the via kt133 and kt266. Anything via you basically had to wait for the A revision to get anything remotely stable. Nvidia nforce2 was bliss compared to the kt266 it replaced. I cant even talk about my time with the 133 or i will start...
Thanks for getting back to me, seems the game I was trying to run doesn't have a profile. I guess Skyrim isn't popular enough?
Metro2033 now works ok though, i'm sure this tech will work great soon :D
So I bought the Asus Sabertooth Z77 yesterday, I thought I would make use of the integrated DP connection. So monitor is connected directly to the motherboard, my GTX680 is installed normally in PCI express x16. Latest drivers for both video cards installed, latest Lucid Virtu software is also...
Been tasked to fix up an old machine that is used for some video transfer. I checked it out and this needs to be replaced with something more modern.
It also has an S-Video...
Ì bought 2 GTX570 Direct CUII and the gap between them is minimal, therefore the top card gets very hot and very loud, very quick.
I though about replacing he top cards cooler with the V3000F, it would have the double effect of creating a better gap between the cards.
I guess what I am asking...
Wow an accurate report, I'm 38 and have my private xbox and PC for my "boys games"
On the TV we have a Wii, PS3 and 360 and I play Little Big Planet, Mario etc with my 9 yr old girl.
I also shield her from any content that I deem unsuitable, how about that!
Thanks for the replies gents, it's in an open box right now with plenty of airflow so I don't see why it goes so loud.
What program can I use to manipulate fan speeds and stuff?
EDIT: -Ok I found the stuff, it goes up to 64c within a minute or two of playing (dirt3) then the fan goes up to...
No it bloody well aint!!
After a few seconds of gaming the fans ramp up to ear splitting level, transporting me back to 2006 and my first Xbox360. At least I can't hear the wifes hairdryer when I have got it on.
Is this supposed to be normal? All the reviews bang on about how quiet it is...
Thanks for getting back to me, I did check but couldn't find any proof either for or against.
I might go for it anyway, if it doesn't work then I will patch in some other solution.
I'll let you know :D
