Anybody with the 'low power' 8700T cpu on this case? Or the 2700 AMD is a far better choice? Thank you.
I have the 6700T - great little CPU - apparently just 35W TDP and I keep it on the Intel's stock cooler since it does the job, for now.
Unfortunalty not at the moment. Will do more once i get back home.
Yes the psu's fan acts like an intake. Worth a try but more heat from the gpu. (?)
From what i remember you really have to bend almost each individual wire to make it work. If you do this you will see that there...
If it is the same size as the Gaming X 1070, then yes. Just bend the wires from the PCi-E connectors as much as you can.
Thanks ! For now they are good on the video card's end.
But you got me thinking. Maybe i can do that to the PSU so i can increase the space in between it and the fan from the AIO.
Will companies that do custom cables will tackle angled connectors? I mean all that exist the PSU?
And the results...
The PSU Corsair SF600 doesn't even start anymore in games - 10 minutes of ME: Andromeda. Usually ii started the moment i entered the game.
Was getting like 80 C degrees with the 980ti no oc and of course it was on the loud side ! Now it stays at 60 ! and Dead Silent ...
And the final confirmation is here.
The MSI Gaming GTX1070 fits perfectly the A4.
(I presume the 1080 will too and especially the 1080ti because they came back with the receased part for the pci-e plugs but of course you will not put the side panel anymore because it is too wide and have a...
Two quick questions guys.
1.What temperatures are you getting with the Asus Strix 1070 in the A4 in stock form and fans on auto ?
2. Did anybody installed the MSI Gaming 1070 in the A4 without flat pci-e connectors?
Just as i feared ..
However, temperatures were definitely a concern with Cinebench and Terragen pushing 100°C with our 240mm AIO liquid cooler
Will get a 5960x second hand or a 1800x and call it a day...
My own temporary solution regarding the noise output.
1 - used the Cryorig C7 heatsink + Noctua new A-series slim fan - the A12x15 PWM
2 - removed the anti vibration pads from the C7 fan and placed them strategically on the heatsink for the new fan.
3 - Some twist wires and voila - finally i...
Wow.. finally i know now how to upgrade. This is the board to finally make me upgrade my 4970k, in the A4 !
So, dondan, if the riser on the right side is not that tall or is removable, this will fit like you did with your V2 built ? The pipes from the Asetek AIO will have a clear path ?
From bottom of the PCIe-Slot to top: 144 mm
Without backplate: 40 mm
Including backplate: 45 mm
Complete card incl. bracket: 306 mm
Without bracket: 295 mm
Now, i have a MSI 980ti installed in my A4 which is 277 x 140 x 40. I can see some clearance left but...
Yes ! As long it will handle a stock i7 and be as silent as possible, i am in. Just finished my build, have to keep my cpu 4790k at the minimum voltage 1.05v so the C7 doesn't become a Ferrari :)
Even at 100 $/pounds - we already are in a niche market so if money is the only price to pay...
