I want to see your 1080ti doing 61MH. Sounds impossible. Edit: did you mean 3080 ti?

Here is why Spacex's Starlink should work:

There is a lot of ground to cover for traditional companies that run lines to offer fiber, for instance. Edit: didn't finish my thought. I live in a huge country, with tons of rural... Like my area. But even I have Gigabit fiber.

    1030 good enough for movies?

I completely get it. The chip doesn't have built in graphics. My point was, based on the OPs post, he seems like video cards are expensive but maybe CPUs aren't. I would upgrade the cpu, skip the video card and carry on

    1030 good enough for movies?

I'm suggesting he doesn't need a dedicated GPU at all

    1030 good enough for movies?

I know. I wrote my post assuming he meant an Nvidia 1030.

    1030 good enough for movies?

Yes. I would say a cpu with built in graphics would be fine for movies. Hell, I watched movies 20 years ago on absolute garbage.

When I split with my first wife she took all the curtains and I didn't replace them. If my neighbours didn't want to see the business, don't snoop. Made it pretty easy for her friends to keep tabs, though lol But yeah, I agree.

    What made you switch?

My pixel 2 XL released 7 months ahead of my p20 pro yet no android 11 on the p20. Figure that one out. Such a cluster fuck. Every new Android phone is random as far as the support timeline goes. At least with apple it is consistent and predictable.

I wish my kids didn't play fortnite or Roblox.. both of those are the only things keeping me on windows. I mean, how the hell does fortnite not work in Linux? It works across cell phones, consoles and PC's all together.... But no Linux. Crazy.

    What made you switch?

I went from IPhone to pixel because I got tired of having to jailbreak my phone to sideload apps. These days, I could use whatever as they are all the same anyway. Apple's big pull for me would be update intervals. Personal preference, I guess.

    Linux for an old laptop

With 4gb of ram, even on Linux, you'll have some slowdown. Ubuntu is probably the heaviest resource wise, so try something like Manjaro.

Bitcoin value cut in half as cryptocurrencies tumble in weekend slide 05-24-2021

A long time. Whattomine says $5 a day for that card. I figure it probably does closer $8 based on its hash and what my double hash does. That's 330 days @ whattomines rate or 206 days at mine. Slooowwww! It's too late in my opinion.

    Gtx 1080ti 16 mph/s ?

I would reinstall your driver's. I'm sorry if this was covered already. My 1080ti run at +100 core +800 memory, 75% power, 75C temp and 65% fan. I get 46MH @ 200-250w depending on card. Edit: this is on T-Rex miner. I manually run eth pill after starting the miner. Otherwise it won't work...

Anyone using the newer Sound Blaster Command Driver for their Sound Blaster Z Card

I guess my question is how is it "much better"? The speakers would make a much bigger difference I would think, no? And taking up cpu resources? We have 16 core CPUs out here at thousand of MHz and we are still working about cpu cycles used?

Soooooooooo should they never be sold? Or would you rather the bank sits on them and then gouges the new owner the minute the market recovers? I didn't kick people from their homes, so give it a break and go white knight on a valid concern.

Windows 10, New Features, DO NOT WANT

While I know people are really against new features being opted off, vs on, but I would bet the majority of Windows users have no idea what new features even exist in windows and wouldn't even understand the missed functionality at their fingertips if it wasn't shown to them.

    Gigabyte GTX 680 OC

I used my 760 4gb card for years and years and years until I snagged a 1080 about a year ago. Played GTA V, Witcher 3 and a few others with it. The 4gb really helped that card stay useful.
  35. auntjemima

Windows 10, New Features, DO NOT WANT

Not really the point. If it's turned off, it should be off, not running behind the scenes. The point of turning it off is because you don't want it to provide you with that information, so turn it off.

Yup. At this point I would buy eth directly, based on card prices. For a couple 3080's you could buy nearly 2 eth.
