I kindly like to ask for some help with my mobile broadband modem setttings.
Here is what i like to do:
Use a mobile broadband modem (Huawei B618s-22d) connected to a energymonitoring datalogger to remote access the datalogger.
The datalogger is connected via lan cable to the modem. For the...
i checked for viruses & malware, followed a few online guides related to this problem and did the windows onboard hard disk scans as well as the suggestions in this thread.
ultimately i was not able to determinate the root cause. I was hoping to rule out a hardware problem with the re-install...
I kindly like to ask for help with a rather strange problem.
recently my windows 10 machine started to have some lag when saving or deleting files.
i did not install any new software, just windows updates
the problem occurs randomly. When saving or deleting a file the process which normally...
since the disk i want to replace is already showing a SMART warning, i bought a Hitachi 5K1000 1tb drive at a local retailer.
i still have to think about my current backup strategy.
i backup to two different drives but both are old ones as well.
The important data (which i backup) is only...
my current setup for storage is a internal 2,5" 256gb samsung disk which i regularly back up to two external hdd.

Any recommendations ?
sorry, but that did not work out either. ( it did not even get past the "update is being prepared" stage)
seems like i need to try a clean install.
i'm really angry at microsoft right now. ( wish win7 or 8 would work for kaby lake processors, so i could downgrade)
on my laptop the fall creators update fails to install.

I'm considering the fractal design define mini as well.
an old AT case which i modded to somewhat BTX back in 2005. Very thick aluminium panels which i lined with noise absorbing mats. I use 3 Sharkoon silent...
My current case is heavily modded and makes any troubleshooting very difficult.
So I'm looking for a new case for the following hardware ( or soon some new parts if i can't track down my usb problems)

1 x SSD, 1 x HDD
Palit gtx 750ti
Seasonic X 560
after reading a lot of reviews i'm looking at two choices which could not be more different price and performance wise.
1) make a compromise regarding the display and buy a reasonably priced Acer Travelmate X349 g2 m 53u2 ( and maybe put the savings into repairing the old Samsung to use as...
i'm currently searching for a replacement for my ageing samsung 730u3e
14" mate screen (could settle for 13") with decent colour reproduction.
quiet operation during web browsing, word and similar tasks.
6 or more hours battery runtime.
i5 kaby lake, 6 or more Gb ram.
well, back then i used a pico psu ( the version with the wide input range) in combination with a FSP 19V brick for my dedicated music pc.
In the end i never upgraded to the hd-plex unit.
replaced it with a auralic aries mini this year.
So the dedicated music pc is not in my signature anymore.

looking for a card that runs quiet and can handle SWTOR, War Thunder and Battlefield BC2 @ 1920*1080 (...
get this amp for the time being. ( powering tweeters and subs at once)
you can upgrade to decent bookshelf speakers later.
the power (the watts) isn't everything in an amp.
sound quality depends on a lot other factors.
the cheapest amp i would recommend without hesitation is the SMSL SA-S3.
It's rated 25W, but it sound really good (way better than the price point might suggest) and it's powerful enough to power...
