LG G5 specs leaked (5.3", SD 820, full metal)

Exactly my thoughts. Nothing frustrates me more than the idea that a phone needs to be 5.5" with QHD in order to qualify for flagship specs. How can every single Android OEM apart from Sony completely neglect the normal sized phone market? I want 1080p at 5" max with everything else top notch...

Lawsuit Demands The Right To Resell Steam Games

Fair enough. This is something you'd almost need to run a poll for. I'm certain though a lot of sales would be lost once the masses caught on to how easy it was to sell digital games after they beat them.

Lawsuit Demands The Right To Resell Steam Games

I need a real-world example to prove why reselling used Steam games wouldn't be abused without restrictions? I don't have any real-world examples because nobody has been foolish enough to allow such transactions in the first place because the abuse potential is already so blatantly obvious.

Lawsuit Demands The Right To Resell Steam Games

Are you serious? Steam and publishers are still in business because games take more than a couple hours to beat. I feel like people are willing to say anything to win this argument.

Lawsuit Demands The Right To Resell Steam Games

I don't think a lamp is comparable either because it can develop scuffs and become faulty over time. There's also a key difference in the way it is used. Lamps will often be used regularly over the course of many years, whereas entertainment media is consumed in a short period and often never...

Lawsuit Demands The Right To Resell Steam Games

The console industry is only still in business because most people aren't taking the time to sell their games. You also have to consider the fact that selling physical game copies dramatically slows down the used game market because you have to prepare and ship items. Imagine if reselling a...

Everything We Expect Microsoft To Announce In 2016

Which is why I get uncomfortable when I see them marketing it as "new features" rather than "we're fixing it".

Lawsuit Demands The Right To Resell Steam Games

Thank you for bringing up a used car analogy -- it actually helps prove my point! Digital goods don't lose value when they've been "used", which is precisely why they need to follow a different market model. A used car (or electronics) for instance have LIMITED lifespans, whereas digital goods...

I see what you're saying, but I don't think it is a fair comparison.

    Why PCs Are "Failing"

I agree. I tried to hype myself up with Skylake, m.2, DDR4 and justify and upgrade, but then I look at the big picture and realize it's simply not logical. However, that might change with DirectX 12 which can take more advantage of CPU power and I hope it does.

Lawsuit Demands The Right To Resell Steam Games

Good point... this is why it's easier if all multimedia was just license-based. When you buy that Blu-Ray, you are buying rights to the movie where it may be streamed in any quality you desire and to any device. If they insist on reselling used Steam games, they need to enforce some kind of...

LG G5 specs leaked (5.3", SD 820, full metal)

That's exceptional for a phone though and the Note is a beast to begin with. There's no way your battery life is still as good as it was when you first got it.

    Why PCs Are "Failing"

This really is it. Smartphones are finally getting to that level too where more clocks just isn't serving a purpose. It's a good problem to have ultimately. Forces makers to innovate.

Everything We Expect Microsoft To Announce In 2016

HoloLens is definitely the most exciting of the bunch, but I am probably looking forward to Redstone in hopes it will work out some of the annoying quirks with Windows 10.

So much praise in this thread. Doesn't even sound worth it for $3 or that it offers anything special that can't already be had in other games.

Lawsuit Demands The Right To Resell Steam Games

While reselling Steam games is great for consumer, I really don't think it's fair for the studios and publishers. It's like selling your movie ticket to somebody else after you've already watched it and redeemed 100% of it's value. The only exception I can see with games is if the player has...

Samsung 850 Evo 500gb $138 with free Ass Creed

I snagged the 850 EVO 500GB from Tiger during Cyber Monday for under $100. This seems to be the best offer at the moment though, especially if you sell the games!

    Windows 10 Update/Sleep Issue

For some reason my PC has been waking up in the middle of the night and not turning itself back off. It installed some massive upgrade and even took me through a welcome process as if I had just upgraded from a previous edition of Windows. Win10 seems to really have a mind of its own. Not cool.

Windows 10 Not Updating Build Versions?

Can you clarify what you mean by that? I've been running Windows 10 for several months and just yesterday my system underwent an unexpected "system upgrade" and even created a windows.old folder.

LG G5 specs leaked (5.3", SD 820, full metal)

Losing removable battery is a great win for OEMs though. When it's a hassle to replace a dying battery (which always happens after ~2 years), people just get a new phone.

    PSA: Steam servers hacked?

Yikes, good find MgAgmoore. The best advice for everyone to follow is to NOT request pages from anything on Steam. What this does is generate a page request that will likely go to someone else. Those who didn't touch Steam today will be safest.

My biggest question is still whether it's a technical error or planned attack. Christmas day seems like the perfect time to strike with tons of Steam gift cards being loaded today and likely lack of staff available to resolve such an issue.
