Because they are ignorant? Is that your point?
I lost something like 7BTC on MtGox. Im not an idiot, however, and realize that Bitcoin was not hacked, Bitcoin is not a scam - but security is a problem.
It definitely seems to becoming less relevant, but with a 3930K it sure helps to bring an all-core turbo of 3.5 up to 4.9.
Hopefully when the new processes or materials come around, they'll be more open to OCing again. I find it enjoyable
If they had done something like... use better toothpaste, or ship it delidded, or with a soldered IHS, I'd be happy to pay $100 more - because they actually made something for enthusiasts.
But this is just a barely binned 8700k? Im not outraged or surprised, but still.. Intel is terrible.
So I read through that and I dont really understand what the "abuser" did wrong. If someone has a dead GPU that they didnt bother RMAing, that doesnt mean any future owner can't RMA it either... ??? please do explain
Basket of deplorables in here, especially page 1.
Someone lost their life in a horrible way. They made a mistake. They did not harm anyone.
You are disgusting for making jokes or worse yet saying they deserved it. As of if haven't done plenty of dumb things on your life that could have cost...
I went thru 4 panels. None had bleed problems.
1st had internal smudges, as if it was cracked internally
2nd had awful color uniformity and bright areas
3rd had bad uniformity and dust inside
4th has a stuck pixel. I kept this one.
These mobile chips look really impressive. Has anyone seen a review mention their temps?
The 7700HQ was a pain to cool because of its size. If you had the GPU loaded and the heatsinks heat soaked, I keeping it under 90c could be hard (even while the gpu would happily run at 70-80 despite using...
That's a weird case. I don't think you'll get it to fit in the intended fashion. If you were OK with just hanging it or something, it might be OK - but you'll have some fun with rotaries and angle fittings, most likely.
Its ok though, I had to cut my case up to get the radiator to fit :)
Fans don't really stop spinning from dust or hair; the heatsink fins just get coated with it, slowing the air and reducing heat transfer
A larger heatsink will end up clogging too; maybe more quickly
Maybe I don't understand your question
On second thought, its a MCP655-B so no control. How did you get a vario, Naieve?
It's probably overkill but I like having the comfort of two pumps. If one dies you know your system wont burn up.
Fitting it is a problem. You'd need to think out how you arrange things before buying
I've had a 290 unlocked to 290x running for around 4 years non-stop mining around 80c. It's fine.
This whole "used mining cards are unreliable" thing is laughable.
Miners don't overvolt. They're not degrading like an overclocked cpu.
I'm not sure about it being useless. I can push the 7700HQ in my laptop to -0.175v. Its like 0.90v VID effective under p95 blend; about 25w maximum cpu power draw.
If the multiplier was unlocked, I think there's enough thermal headroom for at least 4ghz all core. Stock is 3.4
I don't see the exact system, but it's close.
16gb RAM (cost +60 from 8gb)
3tb 7200RPM HDD
2x RX 470
I'm guessing when they said $969, it had 16gb ram upgrade for free. Now it's a free 3TB HDD...
