Same, I limit the use 3rd party "tools" to a minimum.
Never had any issues, the K.I.S.S. principle works like a charm for me (for +30 years)
Infact I suspect a lot of issues that arise from in forums is people have their OS filled with 3rd party "tools", I have seen horribad examples on...
One thing I think that might hamper AMD is that I suspect NVIDIA has been aiming for this ever since the G80.
Not just the hardware...but also the software/eco-system.
So they have planned this for a long time...and put the recources into developing this.
Where as AMD seems to have been caught...
30% has kinda been the norm from generation to generation...Pascal was an outlier FYI, drop the "entitlement"...
Hardware = AMD RDNA2 SKU (The same architechture is coming to PC...so calling it "console hardware" is kinda misleading)
Software = Direct 12 Ultimate (The API is now IDENTICAL between Xbox and Windows 10....so calling it "console software" is misleading...at best.)
This indicates for me that...
Egoistic, selfentilted wankers will always justify their illegal actions with enititled bullshite...don't waste time on pirates, what has been assertained without reason cannot be dismissed by reason ;)
That doesn't bode well for "Big Navi" then.
The new Xbox touts a "12 TFlops RDNA 2 GPU" (giving 1080p/30-60 FPS DXR Minecraft) while the RTX 2060 has 6.5 TFlops GPU (giving 1080p/60FPS DXR minecraft)...
This video lifts the veil a bit about the performance of the new Xbox:
They talk about 1080p/30-60FPS for the new Xbox in DXR Minecraft
Compare that to Microsoft target of 1080p/60FPS for DXR Minecraft on a RTX 2060:
So we can deduce...
And not just be Screen Space Reflections.
But at least we have moved on from the "RT sucks!"
Not we are at the "Look at this RT which is NOT NVIDIA DXR!!!"...where "RT" is a truth with modifications.
Slow progress ;)
Yeah, every generation we have the "cheap-crowd" hoping...and every generation they get disappointed...and somehow forget this every generation.
I am so tired of the same lame argument:
"But THIS time it could happen!!!"
No it will not...get over it.
This is not rocket science...it the (boring) old *nix tune of:
"X does not support my stance on open-tardyness, so I will hinder my own performance...but I will blame the faster hardware, despite it being ME that is the problem!"
The *nix crowd...a minority that makes far to much noise compared...
You would be suprised at how rare "common sense" is today sadly...those Tesla SKU's numbers have muppets running all over the inderwebs talking about GeForce Ampere (like it will have Tesla specs)...reality bites ;)
None of the consumer models will use HBM...this is Tesla-land...silly times again.
To show the difference:
Volta (GV100) 5120:320:128
Turing (TU102-400-A1) 4608:288:96
Volta came out BEFORE Turing...but still had more cores, TMU's and ROP's
This will be the same with Ampere...don't look...
