    Dolby Atmos for Home Theater

Most definitely when using the older Dolby Access app/drivers that I mentioned above and running a game that officially supports Atmos, you'll get discrete height sounds directly from the game engine. In this case, looking at the Input on the receiver I can see 7.1.4 channels coming in. I'm...

    Dolby Atmos for Home Theater

Just an FYI: If you have any issues with Games not outputting Atmos, you can download the Dolby Access 3.2.169 installer and try that. None of the newer versions work for me and my Denon. Once installed, just be sure not to let it update from the Windows Store.

I've got a 6.1.4 setup going right now and I feel no loss from dropping the center channel. Given that we're pretty much fixed in a center position when sitting at the computer, any decent L/R speakers can create the center image. I used to have taller speaker stands and tried an L/C/R setup...

Anyone Have Experience With Ergotron LX Wall Mount Monitor Arm? Concerned with it on one stud.

Single stud. It's probably at about half extension the majority of the time.

Anyone Have Experience With Ergotron LX Wall Mount Monitor Arm? Concerned with it on one stud.

I've got the HX wall mount holding up my much heavier 48" oled and haven't had any issues. I don't move the screen around often but I've probably done so 20 times since I hung it up there and I've never been worried.

That's hilariously silly. ...and I want it. :D I'd still run an ultrawide resolution and then it would be perfect.

Bummer. That's probably the reason why the one old download I was able to find didn't work. Thanks.

Anyone know where to download older firmwares? 3.21.09 is killing me...I've gotta unplug the power every time I wanna use my monitor. I think 3.11.25 was the one that was working perfectly for me.

I'm using a Starware DP to HDMI adapter: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WD75HCD . No issues at all with audio anymore. I'm not happy that I overspent by so much on a 2.1 receiver but everything does sound amazing, now.

In case anyone was looking for a longer cable recommendation, I've been using this 15' cable for a few weeks now without issue: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZH6L4TM . ( SIKAI MOSHOU Ultra High Speed HDMI 2.1)

I had an accepted offer through greentoe of $1450 in July. If I was going to buy another one, I'd try offering them $1400 and see if any retailer bites. I've put in offers on 3 different tvs in the last couple years and it's always been the same, reputable retailer that I've dealt with.

Thank you for stating that so plainly. I'm sure it was said more than once a few pages back but the recent comments had me slightly confused because I've had zero issues since I got my 3090. I'd say that the jump from the 2080ti to the 3090 has been just as big a jump as going from the 35" VA...

Not sure about the Windows setting but there is/was a bug where having Quick Start+ on would turn on Screen Shift even though Screen Shift would show as off. The next time you see blurry text, just turn Screen Shift on and then back off and see if your text clears up. If so, just turn off...

I've got the same issue....was using a B7 with a C9 and now a C9 with a CX in the same room. I switched to using Alexa to power on/off the "tv" and i just press the button on the bottom of the "monitor". You can set different IDs for the different remotes so that most functionality is...

Last post I saw in this thread mentioned that custom, ultrawide resolutions weren't working perfectly with the Club-3D CAC-1085. Anyone able to confirm if that's still the case? Looks like it might still be a while before I can find a Strix 3090 so I'm considering a temporary solution...

I tried eARC again with my x4700h....still garbage. lol It's possible to make it kinda work sometimes but just now I played an Atmos movie through Kodi for a few minutes(it was fine) then played a couple games for about an hour(still fine) but then sitting here on the desktop with no sound...

I'm using this adapter: STARWARE DP Male to HDMI Female Passive...$8.99. It works great...no limitations in audio support. I'm running 6.1.2 and Atmos is fine where supported. I had a terrible time with eARC going from the CX to a Denon x4700h before I bought the adapter.

    LG 48CX

I've had no luck with eARC going 2080ti > CX48 > Denon x4700h. It ends up killing the CX completely to the point that I had to pull the power before it would turn on again. ARC tho worked fine. I expect this will get sorted out between LG & Denon eventually. I'm using this dp to hdmi adapter...

Yes. It's the same one. I use Alexa to turn my "monitor" on since I have 2 LG tvs in the same room. (the remote is IR for Power On/Off and acts on both tvs) One issue I had on my CX was that Alexa couldn't power it on......the wifi turns off when the power is off. There is a specific setting...

I've just assumed that the issue is because when you're creating the custom resolution it's in RGB color format, but if you could create the custom resolution in YCbCr420 you'd be fine. I spent 15 minutes with CRU and couldn't figure out how to do it so I gave up.

    5.1 / 7.1 gaming (speakers) - worth it?

I just recently put together a great 6.1 setup through an AVR and I'm loving it. It easily gives 50% more if not double the enjoyment in every game. I've got good headphones for multiplayer but the experience just doesn't compare....hopefully the new consoles will help push virtual surround...

I think that I figured out the major issues I was having with eARC had to do with the Dolby Access/Dolby for home theater Windows app. Once I uninstalled it and set my sound device to 7.1, things seemed pretty stable...not perfect, usable. With eARC switched on and the Dolby Atmos for home...

I gave in and grabbed a 48" CX to replace my 55" C9. Early impressions: 1. Wow, this thing is SMALL! It just absolutely makes more sense as a monitor, though. I fired up a couple FPS games with HUD components in the corners and I can tell that I'm able to track things better. 2. 4k/120 @...

I took a quick shot of my 65" C7 while on a gray background. I was at about a 45 degree angle and maybe 3ft away. If I were to walk left across the screen, the "red" would move with me. From 6-7' away and centered, it's far more difficult to perceive. My C9 doesn't look as nearly as bad as...

I'm not sure exactly how to put this into words but there's basically a paradigm shift that can, and I believe should take place if you move to such a large screen. For the most part, I've learned to only use somewhere around that 3840x1600 worth of pixels in the middle of the screen (and maybe...

I'd love to hear about eArc experiences as well. I've found nothing but discouraging experiences in my research. I'd love to spend a bunch of money on a nice receiver/speaker setup for my PC but with no assurance that I'm going to be able to handle the audio alongside 4k/120Hz, I've pretty...

Need help venturing into the audio-side of gaming

I've heard good things about those Andrew Jones speakers, as well. ashmelev75 , Does that mean that you are running a separate HDMI cable out of your video card to the receiver just for audio? I've only ever used pass through in the past. No issues with audio being out of sync? I've been...

I hadn't tried 1440@120 since the first week or so that I owned it and the lower resolution really bothered me back then. I played some Division 2 and Last Oasis. Division 2 didn't look great at first and the lower resolution was noticeable. The smoothness was also noticeable. After spending...

I got my C9 just before Black Friday and it was recommended to look at tv stands with mounts (like what you might have in an office or probably schools these days on wheels). With my current room configuration, a wall mount isn't possible. I LOVE this thing. My "monitor" sits about an inch...

    Questions for C9 OLED guys

I ended up picking up one of the Amazon Renewed C9s for $1139. The back is pretty scuffed up and the back part of the stand has a chip taken out of the plastic but the screen looks perfect and the front, aluminum piece of the stand is new. Build date on the back shows 04/19. So far, I haven't...
