thanks Tsumi , I was just going to ask that about fans. I noticed a lot of 140mm rads have lower static pressure than their 120mm counterpart. Maybe I will just stick with my 240 setup for now and upgrade down the road if needed. currently im running a 3090/5900x on a 360 surface area and the...
So I'm thinking about switching my current system to a slightly larger case that can accommodate a 280 mm. Is a 280mm better than a 240mm? just wondering since I already have a 240 rad and fans.
Thanks!
You can do it! I was running a watercooled 3950x/rtx3090 with no issues in a 9.5l case. I have since upgraded to a 5900x and still no issues.
good luck!
thanks for the details Nimisys and vegeta535 . I’ll look in to it some more.
sweating pipes and fitting is not a an issue or even brazing for me - I used to do hvac work :)
I’m running a 3090 and 5900x on a 360mm rad surface area (240mm + 120mm) and have no issues at stock clocks. Delta for the loop is about 19-20 over ambient on load.
running slim 20mm radiators abs slim fans.
Had to switch to hard tubes for tighter bends. Still some wire management needs to be done on the gpu side and a support bracket needs to printed for gpu, but for the most part I’m done.
Both on water, using a 120mm + 240mm radiator setup. these are my temps when loaded playing warzone on 4k.
water temp is 41 (16 delta)
gpu temp is 59
Cpu temp is around 68
New build - formd T1 itx case with a 5900x and rtx 3090. Still some cable management that needs to be done and switching to hard lines as soon as the rest of the fittings arrive.
I like the looks and it appears to be high quality, but I scratched them off my list of companies to try. Message them a few times here, overclock, and through their site, but they never responded. I’ll continued to use aquacomputer as they they have awesome customer service and products.
Stock 5900x and stock PNY 3090 both on water. Going to tinker around and see if I can get the score up, but might be hard since I'm in 9.4l itx case.

I’m in IT for a very large corp and I’m seeking out who our dell contact is. Every time I see updates to this thread makes me regret getting the 27”. Lol damn you!
I currently have a Dell S2716DG (Gsync 1440p @144) and just literally purchased the new Alienware 27" AW2721D (Gsync ultimate 1440p 240) and was thinking maybe I should've bought a 4k monitor instead. Would you guys recommend for a 3090 - 1440p or move up to 4K?
I'm currently playing only 1...
Any chance anyone knows where I can purchase a replacement chipset fan?
been waiting over 3 months for a replacement from Asrock - worst customer service I had in 20+ years.
Yup - it's literally the only thing I use my computer for. I have mini itx setup running nvlink 2080tis. 3090 will be here tomorrow though! Gaming on 1440p at 144 maxed out. no issues with refresh at all.
ok sooo after some more testing... im able to get stable at 3466 @ 14-16-16-36 and IF at 1733. though its not 3600, is there a substantial performance difference from 3600?
or should I say screw and buy 3600 CL16 kit instead?
running the latest bios.
yea I tried enter the info from Dram calc using html complete from thaiphoon export.
Tried running one stick in each slot with amp profile and still no boot - at this point looks like this ram just sucks!
correct these are Samsung B-Die and run at 1T.
I can only stay stable and these settings - 2666 /c18-18-18-43-61 @1.2v
things I have tried
1. default bios with changing dram speed to 3600 and changed volts to 1.45
boot into the OS for a few seconds then reboots
2. default bios with XMP...
So made the following changes. Load default bios and changed only ram speed to 3600 and voltage to 1.450. I was able to boot into windows and then within in 30 seconds in gets into does the boot loop :(
Wondering if this ram is just not going to work with my setup.
Sooo I’m new to AMD (last setup was a 939) and having some stability issues with my new system.
First I tried running the XMP profile and change the infinity fabric to 1800, but just boot loops and goes into safe bios mode.
Next, I ran the Thaiphoon burner, exported the html, imported in the...
My mobo is in for RMA at the moment and hoping someone can help me out. Anyone that is running an ASRock x570 taichi board willing to extract the DSDT for me? I’m willing to pay 25 bucks for you’re time.
Here are instructions on how to extract the DSDT...
I agree with Sharky - emailed multiple times via the contact form, messaged on here and ocn. Never received a reply.
I’ve been buying aqua computer parts exclusively for the last 15 years and wanted to change things up - optimus was not the answer 😕
