    Experiences with Mediacom?

I've used them in both the consumer and business side. Both have been good to us. Speeds meet the needs. We did have a run in with them on the business side with an Internet circuit but after a short come to Jesus meeting they bent over backwards to make it right...

    re-visit network monitoring

I know you have your Windows and MSSQL requirements, but if you want to be cheap cheap suck it up turn up a sweet debian box and do Nagios and MRTG. Nagios has a paid for support if you require it. MRTG unsure. I hated it at first, but once I got my head wrapped around the config files and...

It took a little bit to get use to the layout and how JunOS layed things out, but after a while it was great. I've always wanted to play with the switch stacks. Do you bother with the Dell Rebranded SRXs? I tell you the TZ series Sonicwalls sucked. The NSA and up seemed to be ok. Anymore...

Looking for IP cameras to place in lobby's so receptionist can see who wants in

When we turned up our second location we didn't want to shell the ton of money we did on Axis. we looked around and checked out dlink cameras. Their NVR/DVR software blows but their cameras are pretty snazzy...

I'll have to admit seeing you guys go back and forth about blades vs not going blades cracks me up. Blades will always have their place and not have their place. I have a buddy who just got done ripping out 4+ blade centers for 2u servers. Justification. Could get more out of the physical...

Had to replace a downed switch on Christmas Eve

Both Air Handlers in our server room needed recharged. Ended up getting 98+ in there for a while. Only thing saving us was being below zero temps. We opened a few windows on the floor and the big fans in the door did the rest. Was able to get it down to 94-95 while the AC guys trying to get it...

Downside of running Cisco router w/o firewall

If your going to keep it simple for now as a stop gap, simple context based should be fine Here's what I've had on my 3750 forever and it just works: interface FastEthernet0/0 ip address dhcp ip access-group outside_in in ip wccp web-cache redirect out ip nat outside ip inspect...

    Fortinet FortiMail

For us price between both solutions is pretty well a wash. Within a couple 100 dollars of each other for the initial investment and reoccouring investment. The one thing that I'm stuck on the Barracuda is just so simple, but is it too simple for our needs. FortiMail can be customized to the...

    Fortinet FortiMail

Anybody have the pleasure of working with these appliances? We are looking at other options to replace an over priced existing solution. FortiMail and Barracuda seem to be the front runners at the moment Also, anybody have a comparison of FortiMail vs Barracuda they would like to share?

DELL KACE. Anyone worked with this?

Same boat. Awesome concept and platform. The Least Dell could do is at least spit and rearch around before they talk about price. I'm afraid Kaseya isn't much better when it comes to price.
