Cyberpunk 2077’s first major update coming in the next 10 days

We know the jaguar cores are slower than today's processor cores but to compare it to the desktop version is doing it a misjustice to what bare metal coding and optimizations can do on consoles.

Linus Torvalds On The Importance Of ECC RAM, Calls Out Intel's "Bad Policies" Over ECC

My understanding is the DDR5 spec has ECC built in so I wonder how Intel will find a way to disable it on consumer boards and find a way to charge for enabling it? Just a layman opinion, don't know if it is possible or not.

Do fiber optic HDMI cables add any noticeable input lag?

Sorry about being stubborn mybad, stressful couple of days for work, etc. Between me and you I'd stick to good copper until prices come down as well.

Do fiber optic HDMI cables add any noticeable input lag?

Thanks, I will bow to your expertise...I wanted to find some info either way regarding lag. Not much out there. 😬

Do fiber optic HDMI cables add any noticeable input lag?

Can you provide examples via HDMI fiber signal adding latency? I provided negligible latency difference and told it was fake...

Do fiber optic HDMI cables add any noticeable input lag?

LOL so you have nothing...though so. I provided info and the first reply is FAKE! If I found it using Google but you can't yeah that tells me a lot. Go be a forum expert somewhere else.

Do fiber optic HDMI cables add any noticeable input lag?

LOL to be fair it is hard to find any references to lag vs. attenuation but they are out there. And I got that pic from an article (reviewer testing some $180 fiber cable) ...I can search again but you are not worth it. I'm sure you can find references proving me wrong with that expertise of doubt?

Do fiber optic HDMI cables add any noticeable input lag?

That is my understanding from looking at testing over longer distances. Don't care if you doubt it or not... http://www.fiber-optic-tutorial.com/latency-whats-differences-fiber-copper.html Here is a pic I found.

Do fiber optic HDMI cables add any noticeable input lag?

    Yup, Ethernet for the win....

Do fiber optic HDMI cables add any noticeable input lag?

    No need with fiber.
  22. B

Do fiber optic HDMI cables add any noticeable input lag?

Call it what you want but longer the longer an HDMI cable is the more signal it loses due to attenuation. It can have a real impact on the quality of audio and video you hear and see at the other end. Look at some video comparisons of HDMI copper vs HDMI fiber over long runs.

Knowing the current state of the video card market I'm not surprised...enjoy that minor upgrade!
  24. B

Do fiber optic HDMI cables add any noticeable input lag?

The bottom line is light is faster than an electric pulse. If you want the same or lower lag at longer distances while allowing minimal signal degradation such as the best color, HDR, etc.. vs. standard copper then you want fiber HDMI.

    Last Epoch

Yup it looks really good but for $35 early access no thanks...
  26. B

Do fiber optic HDMI cables add any noticeable input lag?

For 20 feet you should go fiber for 4K. Copper HDMI starts to degrade even at 15 feet. Even though it is more expensive its the right choice.

RMA submitted, RMA received. Is this right or should I be upset?

And then reset the entire production line to make one of them old Kingpin's! I imagine trying to get a 2080 TI Kingpin card right now is like striking gold. And when RMA'ing they tend to send an equivalent performance card back, not a free upgrade. This is what I want. That is not how it...

How to spot a horrible review from a top YT'r

A bad review is bad review. Bad advice is bad advice. They are doing a disservice to the community no matter how you slice it, whether they are just a builder, a youtube'r or actual reviewer. Find others that are consistent and considered fair. There are way to many good websites out there...

RMA submitted, RMA received. Is this right or should I be upset?

Yup that has never been the case unless its a new release and they have extra new ones in stock. I've never seen them return a new packaged card with an RMA. Most just want the bare card returned only, not all the extras. That's not how it works.
