Pretty much. The market clearing price of these cards is clearly way higher than retail. The fact people can but and resell them so easily with such a markup is a testament to that. This is more of perfect storm of chip fab demand than anything. 2 new consoles, 2 new lines of video cards, and a...
Got my Ghost in pieces to upgrade the GPU and clean up the loop. Hoping to fit a reservoir in their now too since the 3080 FE is quite small with a water block. Air bubbles are a huge PITA without a reservoir. Also looking to create a better loop draining system which is tough in this case...
I managed 2 on the last BB drop. Their queue system is quite nice and when they do get stock it seems like a decent amount. You just have to jump on it quick. They've had drops on the following days:
11/20
12/8
12/22
Wouldn't be surprised if the next one 1/5
Yea, my 2080 ti with a waterblock has coil whine. I undervolt which helps a lot.
Managed to snag a 3080 for my computer and 2-3060 tis for the daughters new builds.
Broke down and got one. But since I'm waiting on a FE waterblock from aquatuning I'll be lucky to install it this year.
Anyone know where to get a 1 or 2 slot io bracket for the 3090 FE?
Managed a 3090 FE from Best Buy. Now to wait a few weeks on the waterblock from aquatuning. Anyone know where to get a replacement 1 or 2 slot bracket for use with the FE cards?
I almost never upgrade my CPU alone. I figure if I am going to go through the work of a cpu upgrade, might as well do the motherboard as well. Motherboards hold value surprisingly well. Actually managed to sell my last one (Asus IX Hero) for $300 making money on it.
Exactly, if you don't want to pay high prices either plan ahead and hope to get lucky or wait. No one needs any of these. We've been waiting for a card faster than a 2080 ti for how many years now? Needless to say demand will outstrip supply.

Looks like watercooling in SFF will be possible for sure. Nice to see the PCB shrunk down.
Possibly, but the performance difference in the 3080 -> 3090 is much larger than the 2080 ti -> Titan Xp. At least it appears to from leaked benchmarks.
I have a WC Ghost S1 with dual 240 radiators and it runs a i9-9900k and 2080 ti quietly. Formd T1 could also likely do it albeit with a single radiator
Lots with bids over $1k based on model:

I've actually sold 2 brand new 2080 ti's in the last 2 days for $1750 each. That's crazy for you.
This is going to depend a lot of the number of slots the GPU will take up and how many your case has. Air cooling with 2 GPU slots is probably going to be difficult in SFF depending on the case you go with if these rumored power consumption numbers are correct. You will likely be able to get...
Yea, there's not much risk. Even monetarily if you have buyers remorse good chance you can sell it for more than you bought it for. Plus, it will likely hold it's value really well for quite a while.
Oh it's better than that. Apparently Clinton has a bunch of super assassins that can have anyone she wants killed at any time yet managed to let a guy named Weiner foil her election chances with dick pics.
