we did get him a laptop recently. He is in the Marine Corps and we went to visit him and bring him the laptop in Pensacola. when we came back thats when my PC had his log in screen.
So that make sense(i dont know how any of that works but at least i kinda know what happened after you guys...
i am thinking it was just local but it may have been microsoft account. we both have seperate microsoft accounts because we game.

i talked to the IT guru here at work and he said microsoft "decided" my computer...
Ok I was able to login by resetting the password through my son's phone. It looks like my desktop and I can see all the drives. Just not sure how his log in jumped to my computer.
So I have my computer in the bedroom and we have a family pc in another room. I was the only user on mine and my son, daughter, and wife each have an account on the family pc. So I hop on mine and the user that pops up is my son's account. He is no longer living here(marine corps) so I haven't...

Re: How to make windows boot from m2 ssd.
If you want to perform a fresh install of Windows, then create bootable flash drive that contains Windows installation media (you can download Windows 10 directly from Microsoft here) and then...
I bought a Dell Inspiron 5575 laptop with a 1TB spin drive. I added an M.2 drive and cloned the spin drive on the M.2.
I can manually boot from either drive but if i let the laptop boot on its own it goes to the spin drive everytime.
i cant seem to figure out how to manually set it to boot...
I have the MSI you listed. I like it so far. I play PC and XBOX X on it. I did have an ASUS 144HZ 1080P TN panel from 2013 and i hadnt really noticed any difference in response time but you may.
My first choice was the Samsung 27CHG70 but i decided to let 4K/HDR mature(and get less expensive)...
My Xbox x says it was updated on the 27th but i still dont have the option for 1440P. I have one of those MSI curved monitors that recently came out.
Does anyone else have the option?
drive is dead. i had 2 questions.
1. my other PC has a M.2 card in the motherboard. Should i be worried about that one? It has a GTX 1060 6GB on top of it but when i swapped them out the M.2 wasnt warm at all.
2. Could a computer shop possibly retrieve info off this type of drive?
got home from work and my pc is not seeing the nvme card. windows is on it so it is asking for a boot drive, not shown in bios. i was going to try and update the bios but i think it wont help.
not sure if i should bring it to a shop or call it dead?
it is giving me a single beep so that means...
Would this be a good drive to hook up to a router? I was thinking of getting one to put movies and family videos on but wasnt sure on how to go about it quite yet.
for me i would say the original Nintendo Entertainment System. i still have the imprint on my left thumb from the controller's D pad. PS2 would be 2nd for me.
Im having a graphics problem with BF3. When I join a server my screen will flash to very dark colors especially when I stop moving. This happens when I join my first server for the day. I have to back out and rejoin and then it usually is back to normal.
I have Ivy bridge processor, GTX...
why would it be the switch, i thought it was highly regarded. I did buy it used. I havent done any configuring to it. not sure if it can be.
Played BF3 and I had one drop off in about 2 hours. so it did better tonight but i will try your suggestions.
So i setup an Asus RTN66U router with an HP 1800 24 port switch. Ive got 2 PC's,xbox, cablebox, and wii(wireless).
So about every 5 minutes or so, it seems I lose connection. Its very apparant when I play BF3 cause it will close the game and say connection with server timed out.

I never heard of the filters. thanks. I have the main line coming in and then like you guys said I will split it in 2 then 1 to modem and 1 to tv distribution splitter.
So I will need(or at least look into) a 2 splitter that will filter the line going to the modem and the other line no filter?
I bought the case used about a year ago and am just getting around to building it. So if a fan is hooked up on the PSU then it should be running full blast, correct?
Just built a gaming rig in this case(slightly older version). I have the top fan and front fan on the power supply and the rear fan on the MB. The top fan seems to be moving too slow. I am worried when I am playing for a while it will need to go faster.
How should I have hooked up the...
I have Cox Communications. I am about to move my modem from the living room to a dedicated closet. Also going from a 4 port switch to 24 port. I have a new router waiting in the closet along with the 24 port switch. I have ran all the wiring myself.
Questions: Do I need to call the...
Yes sir, I increased it.
I figured that monitor was good cause it was quite a bit cheaper than the sammy. I also figured I should do SLI since I am going 120HZ.
I think I would like to go SLI this time.
I was looking at the MSI GTX 670's
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127675
I am looking at the Asus VG278HE now cause I cant wall mount the sammy. So I am good with the 2 GB cards, yes?
Question being there are some...
