Christmas and black Friday this year pretty much sucks. There is supposed to be an abundance of shit to buy. For tech shoppers, it's a barren boring landscape this year. I hope my step up from evga gets to me by July.
Nothing to buy. Drought of a holiday for tech toys. Blows.
Who cares. I mean really lol. Being able to buy one of these cards right now is like winning the lottery. I am a bit bitter that June of 21 is probably when the scalpers will let up. Till then, it's vaporware to me.
Why am I so bitter!? First world problems bruh.
I have the RM850x PSU. It works fine and powers my system well. I use two seperate pcie cables for my 2070. Not one problem and the thing is quiet as hell.
Every single PSU out there has issues. There are no 100% positive reviews for anything. Always remember that.
My local Microcenter in Cambridge Massachusetts is completely sold out. I don't think they got a lot of cards to begin with. I really expect March of 2021 to be the time when these cards will be available for everyone. Until then the demand is going to outstrip supply.
Go AMD! Wonder what nV is going to say this time...but but the dog ate the pallets we really meant to ship out. It's all good. I am not trying to buy one. Just eating the popcorn watching the show. I can't even pull up microcenters website.
What I want to know is...how the f*ck are there this many gamers on the planet? I mean, it's like everyone and their mother now is a pc gamer. Crazy shit. 90 year olds using bots to buy a 3080. Unreal.
What time again? 9am? I wonder if microcenter is going to pull a douche move again and open at 5am and sell out before they open the doors at 10. I have a 2070 super that I am stepping up to a 3080 with. Would be nice to go shopping though.
I know about overhead but that typically comes in the form of acks back on the upload right? So my upload would take a hit while 105MB/s is coming down, but I should get my line rated speed on the download of 940mbps/117MB/s.
I got this speed all day with FIOS. Just windows 10 can't get past...
I just ordered two cat 8 cables. I was just getting 105 MB/s from steam. I just can't get to 117 MB/s which is what my line is rated at 940mb/s
I really feel this is a windows 10 problem. I'll see what the new cables do. Just seems like I can get up to the speed but it can't sustain it steady...
I have gigabit internet from my ISP. The tech that came here can get 970+ mbps all day all the time. As soon as I hook up my windows 10 pro system, it goes up to that speed but then trickles down to 600 to 700. For some reason my system can't sustain gigabit 940+ speeds. What in windows 10 would...
You want the nvme for your windows install and the sata for your games drive. 3500/3000 is the speed of the m2 nvme. 500/500 is the speed of the m2 sata. Def get the nvme m2 for your windows install and the m2 sata for your games drive.
Pc and gaming hardware is in retard demand right now. Those cards will be gone in seconds. Just like the 3080 launch. The only way normal users are going to get one is wait until Jan Feb until the rush dies down. Too many people not knowing what to do at home scooping this stuff up. And bots and...
What does it matter? The rona caused pc hardware market to freaking explode. Do you actually think bots aren't going to do the same thing that they did to nv?
Right now the demand for gaming at home is so high. My King Henry big toe could sell pc hardware and sell out in seconds. It doesn't...
Okay. What settings should I change on a gigabyte board to get all my cores to 5.1? Just need the settings I am going to be changing. I know how to go about doing it I just don't know the settings on a gigabyte board.
Hi. I would like to overclock my 10700k. I have a gigabyte vision g with the latest bios. Can someone give me quick and dirty settings to get 5.1ghz on all cores for my gigabyte board? I have a kraken x53 aio so hopefully my temps are cool.
Also, once I get the oc dialed in, what software do...
I get that they are optional. But are those drivers better than installing the latest chipset and MEI drivers from my motherboards site? I mean they are showing up for a reason. Are they better performing drivers than what I have now? I'm just wondering should I install them.
I have just updated my system to the latest intel mei and chipset drivers. Yet windows update is showing me these 2 optional updates for my system. If I have the latest software for my motherboard from intel, should I install these from windows update? Wonder if these will impact performance.
This is my situation. I have 1 m2 nvme ssd drive and 2 sata ssds. If I change my bios to use the intel rst premium controller from ahci, I can't see my nvme in the bios anymore. I can still boot to it, but it just disappears from the bios. If I set the bios to ahci, I can see it.

I just thought of something. My job, everything is HIPAA compliant. So I don't think I'd even be allowed to connect to a personal device while at work. I work for a huge medical center in network operations. Just working the night shift, can be a bit down sometimes.
So, nevermind. Was just a...
