The GPU is responsible for drawing the entire UI, which is what people interact with. Having no lag, perfect scrolling, excellent gaming performance, smooth animations, etc makes a big difference in usability.

The 5 battery is 1440mAH. The 4S is 1430mAH. So battery is damn near identical. Maxx is 3300mAH. Now thats inefficent.
Also, the iphone 5 is the fastest. Not just as fast. The fastest. Phone on the market.

I would say Pentile vs non pentile matters more. The GS3 supposedly is 720P, yet pentile reduces effective pixels by 1/3, putting the actual living pixel number below ip5.
Might not matter much in real world usage, I hear the screen is quite nice. But I personally think thats spec inflation.
