    Upgrading from 34GK950F

Have the LG 34" and wanting to upgrade to something little bigger. I've read about the 38GL950G which is gsync model i believe and theres the 38GN950 which looks like gsync compatible. Anyone heard release dates yet for the GN? Are there any other 144-160hz monitors coming out soon that i should...

I don't know for sure as i'm not going to remove it, but the Sabrent has stickers on both sides of the drive connecting all the chips which i've read have copper lines underneath to act as a little heatsink, like the samsungs do. Right out of the box it ran 10-15c cooler then the Inland, i got a...

Not everyone, either you guys got lucky with good speeds or myself and a few others got unlucky with bad drives. Biggest thing for me though is my drive is running insanely cooler under use and while benchmarking and not throttling like the Inland.

Got my Sabrent 1TB drive in the mail today and i'm loving it. Blows the Inland out the water and better results then the Silicon Power drive i tried out. Hitting almost 3500 read and 33200 writes, the biggest difference is my drive idles at 18-19c and only hits 44c max while benchmarking. The...

Yeah, i had the item like 2 years and 9 months and got a full refund of it. I'm not worried about the item breaking, though the heat issue is a little concern. I factor the warranty etc more into resale value. 2 years down the road being able to say I've got a 1tb drive with 3 years of...

If there was a microcenter in my state that would work. Amazon, i do the customer service chat, takes me like 5 mins and get an instant label. Refund is issued as soon as ups gets the package. How is that? Silicon Power, Sabrent etc all have 5 years and microcenter has 3 years. I think having bought something from Amazon makes the warranty even better. I got a Vivo dual monitor arm from them almost 3 years ago fulfilled by amazon (has 3 year warranty), started having problems holding...

Yeah it's the formula, I wish it was as easy to get to mine as yours lol. On the plus side, since my GPU is vertical i'm getting a m.2 fan holder 3d printed and you won't see the ugly tan noctua fan. Due to my unique layout and watercooling with no case fans blowing around, it seems like the...

I'd normally agree and say it's super fast and easy to swap out drives, but i run a custom water cooled loop and to change out a drive i have to break my loop down each time. Needless to say, after i square away the issues with the drive i have now, I won't be changing any time soon.

There is a 500gb x4 drive, it has the same speeds listed as the 1tb drive, 3100 read 1900 write. https://www.microcenter.com/product/600420/512gb-3d-nand-m2-2280-pcie-nvme-30-x4-internal-solid-state-drive but i definitely think heat is a factor in the speeds.

I'm thinking some people just got lucky with their drives, the Microcenter website actually shows the specs as Read Speed 3,100 MBps / Write Speed 1,900 MBps. Not sure about the others, but my heat is either from a crap drive or my computer/mobo layout. Either way i sent it back, hitting almost 80c is just nuts. Have a different brand phison that will be here Tuesday, i'll find out if it's the controller or was just the Inland drive.

    Ultrawide monitor Nvidia and freesync

Starting new thread to keep it clear and concise. I've narrowed my ultrawide hunt down to the LG 38WK95C3/38UC99 or the 34GK950F. I've read the 38" is working with gsync and know the 34" one does. So it comes down to 75hz and larger screen vs 144hz. Has anyone gamed on the 38? Im honestly not...

all i can seem to find around 38-43" is either 1200p 120hz no sync or 1440p 75hz with some type of sync. I may just have to stick with 34" and unpack my old 20" acer just to use for browsing. Really trying to go ultrawide to ditch the dual monitors but not looking good until the new LG 38" comes...

    Need a new, 34GK950G-B or AW3418dw?

Hows does Samsung C43J89 compare? 43" 32:10 3840x1200 120hz. It doesn't have gsync or freesync. will that make a huge difference with a 1080ti? Seems like the closest to a gaming monitor in the >35" <49" size thats available right now.

What's new in the Ultrawide monitor world?

Anyone out there used a Samsung C43J890 before? I'm really starting to think the 34" isn't going to cut it, i'd much rather have something in the 38" range but looks like there is nothing between 35 and 43" with 1440p and over 100hz that i can find.

    Monoprice 49” 32:9 Ultra Wide $679

How does the aspect ratio effect the look? I know size wise it's exactly 2 27" monitors. Does the ratio/size make the 1080p look any different? If i was going from 2 27" 1440p monitors to this, would the 1080p be extremely noticeable or not because of the aspect ratio? Trying to decide if it's a...
