Google offering free version of SketchUp (Gd mod tool)

I haven't used the new free version yet, but I'm hoping that the only differences between the two are the items listed at the bottom of this page. http://sketchup.google.com/product_sup.html I have to say that Sketchup is pretty amazing. Although it lacks a few features that are pretty...

Google offering free version of SketchUp (Gd mod tool)

It's unfortunate that you have to pay for the full version just to be able to export into a format that AutoCAD can read. Other than that, this is some great news.

Bugs are nothing. How about cutting open a bag full of goose excrement, like I did. That's disgusting.

    Dumpster Diving!

I'm starting to give up on the chains. Most of them have compactors and the ones that don't either don't throw away any good stuff or totally destroy it when they do. The way to go, like jpmkm said, is the smaller computer and office shops. Ya gotta get the places that are big enough to have...

    Dumpster Diving!

Amen to that. A lot of places that I dive at have a bad habit of not closing the lid of their dumpsters (if they have lids) and all of the stuff gets kinda ruined. Ya never know though, I had a monitor that was rained on. Let it sit and dry for a week, turned it on and it was just fine.

    Removing Spot Welds

Oh ok. Well, I stuck it in the freezer overnight and I'm gonna go check and see if it did any good at all.

    Removing Spot Welds

That could be, maybe they're not spot welds. When I got one apart, it looks like a 10mm diamater puddle of burnt metal where they must have been fused together.

    Removing Spot Welds

I drilled a hole in all the welds, but it didn't seem to be big enough. I'm gonna go back with a bigger bit and see if that helps. If not, I'll put it in the freezer. Thanks for the advice guys.

    Removing Spot Welds

On a case of mine, that I'm trying to take apart, there seem to be a group of 3 spot welds attaching two pieces of metal. Is there any way to these pieces apart without totally destroying the area?

Lots of Computers Need a Use

Here's FAHlog.txt, from the bottom. I looked in that other file and it says that I'm at 1%, so I guess that I'm making some kind of progress. I just noticed too, that I'm at 48% of a frame in EMIII, so I guess that that is now working also.

Lots of Computers Need a Use

The whole file was too big to paste so here's this part. I think that it says that I've completed at least a few parts of the work unit.

Lots of Computers Need a Use

Now I'm quite positive that there is an error because it says "No". Then when I double-click on that it says "waiting..." and resides on "Error". Anyone know what's up?

Lots of Computers Need a Use

I attempted to install F@H following the guide at www.hardfolding.com, but I'm too sure that it's working. In task manager is says that the Fahcore is running at near 100%, but in EMIII I'm not making any progress. It says 0% complete and all of the running times are at 00:00:00. Maybe I just...

Lots of Computers Need a Use

I've got a bunch of older computers that are just sitting around, because there's really no use for them. I was wondering how best to go about setting them up to fold. Should they all be networked, what OS, and what specs are really required to make even a little difference? I really don't...

    Dell SC420 $209 after $20 Rebate - Celeron 325J

I've gotten it to $339 with the upgrade to 80gb for 10 bucks and the free doubling of the memory, but I can't find anywhere to apply the mail in rebate. There is a place in the spec that says none under the mail in rebate.

They have the VIA C3 Samuel2 processor but I'm not sure if it's the 1.9V or 2.0V version. Thanks for the insight so far guys. I know that these mobos suck, but I might as well make use of them if they are just gonna be sittin' around.

I've got two of [these] motherboards and I want to cluster them up and either fold or make it a BT server. The only problem is that I don't have power supplies for them and I was wondering what you guys suggest. I guess that it matters a lot on if I use it as a server and need all of those...

    Power Outlet Grounding

The reason that I don't want to connect it to the psu is that the wire isn't long enough. Here are some pictures to better explain it. That's the enclosure, which infact is enclosed within another outer shell. The psu is attached to the inner side wall of the hdd rack shown.

    Power Outlet Grounding

I have an external hdd enclosure that has its own psu. The psu gets its power from the wall, of course and specificially through a 3 pronged outlet that you find on all kinds of stuff from printers to my computer. I'm working on a custom enclosure and was wondering if I have to ground the...
